I made this for some friends coming into town and it was a hit! It looks incredibly impressive while being relatively low effort. We will definitely be making this again.

Great recipe! This was easy to make and delicious to eat! All my friends loved it! It has just the right amount of sweetness from the cream and the cake is light and fluffy even as it is flexible.

I love this recipe and have been using it as a base recipe and swapping out the fruit component and infusing the whipping cream to make other combos which I strongly recommend. I did a lemon curd and raspberry combo and mango curd with coconut frosting, both were so fun and major hits with my friends. This said, because this roles so nicely and works as such a good base I have been hesitant to try to make the base cake recipe chocolate and am not skilled enough to know what I would need to consider in order to not loose the texture / throw things off. Maybe it’s not that deep and would be easier than I think, but does anyone have any tips/suggestions, or maybe a chocolate roll cake recipe you’ve found that feels as user friendly? Thank you!

My family fought over who got to keep the rest of the cake (though there wasn’t much). Light, not overly sweet, and full of flavor. This will go into the cake rotation!

Made this for my MIL’s 90th birthday. It was easy to make, beautiful, and delicious. I followed the instructions exactly, but felt there was not enough cream for the filling, so I made another half batch. The cake was much easier to work with than other jelly roll type cakes I’ve made. Currently working on 2 more for a party tomorrow. Great recipe!
