| | Those of you who follow me on twitter may already know, but last weekend I had a pretty horrible computer situation! I'll try to explain to the best of my ability because I am definitely not a computer savy person, so bare with me tech friendly folks! About three months ago, a friend suggested that I "start fresh" on my machine and seperate my drives! The plan was to put all my artwork onto my original drive and use an SSD for my OS/main to increase functionality and speed! When we both went out and purchased the new SSD; we bought an OCZ which is apparently well known for failure but we had no idea at the time. It works out great for three months until last weekend (late Saturday evening) after a cookout I held with some local friends, I went to show them a commission I had been working on for Skips (who was there, also!) and out of nowhere, my PC couldn't read the main drive! Skips is a very tech savy guy and tried his best until 5am Sunday morning to see if the drive could be salvaged, but unfortunately it was dead. Normally this wouldn't be a problem if I had been a responsible person and put all my files onto the secondary drive, but I have a very bad habit of leaving things I'm currently working on in the desktop. The good news is most of my artwork is safe and sound! The bad news is that anything I had currently been working on or recently finished was lost and can not be recovered! This includes the PSD files of recently completed commissions (thankfully the finished images were already sent out to clients!), tons of personal art, and a few commissions. It was especially heart breaking for Skips because we had been working on a new character for him that was 80% finished and he got to sit and give input on in person, only to take a break and eat some tasty meat skewers and come back to find it gone. While I did purchase a new SSD drive the very next day, things are a little slow atm because I'm recovering from the loss and trying to push along on starting over on some of those lost commissions! A few of which actually were large sized commissions with over 10 hours of work into then already and one of them with a looming deadline coming soon for a special occasion! This is why I have been slow to reply to things lately and why I above not accepted any new commissions from the form I released last week! I am putting my priorities in finishing these existing commissions first and it's taking all of my time! I will leave the form open for a few more days for potential new clients/commissions and if you'd like to fill one out, it's in my previous journal! Just understand that I may be delayed in responding until my current things are back to where they need to be on my schedule! Thankfully, this event was a very stern reminder for me to back my work up and I learned quickly from the experience! While buying the new SSD, I purchased a three terabyte external hard drive and Skips made a script that will copy my work folders to it when I click it, which I do every night now! In addition, I paid for a cloud service now in order to ensure this incident never happens again! | | | After giving some thought into my previous journal, I have decided the best course of action would be to remove it.
This was entirely my choice and was not prompted by anyone other than myself.
While my opinions and statements have not changed nor has any contact been made from the opposite end, I felt as though things have escalated beyond my intended purpose of said journal (to warn to followers and artists about a lack of professionalism from a company within the fandom) and things began to dig much deeper than I was comfortable handling.
While I am upset about what transpired, I want to assert that I am not, nor have I ever been, a fan of call the Tumblr-esque call out culture and as it stands, the comments and attitudes in the journal were beginning to make me feel uneasy about the situation. I began to feel that expressing my personal interaction with said company was going to cause an excessive backlash against them and that is absolutely not what I am about, to put it bluntly. While I am incredibly bothered by their interactions with me, I am not out to start a campaign against them (I explained this in said journal, as well). I am a business owner myself so when I began to see some pretty heated discussion about said company and personal information/encounters with it's owner being shared, I felt that the issue had grown beyond just my experience and beyond what I was willing to deal with. While I may have had a personal dispute with the site's owner, I do not condone harassment or attacks on their character. This is not the way I choose to use my influence within the community nor was it my intended purpose. With that said, I hope people can respect and understand my choice to remove the journal. Rest assured, I do have a copy of the journal saved and tucked away if the need for it ever arises, but I don't think that will be any time soon.
To give the summary of what said journal contained; I am no longer using the prints service I had before in the past and will not be doing so in the future. | | | So today I posted a commission that had been completed some time ago with guro/gore as the subject matter.
Now, this commission had been sitting in my folders for some time now and I had been debating posting it for fear that my watchers may dislike the content but ultimately decided to post it because I personally enjoy the subject matter and also liked the image because it served as a nice example of what I can do when asked to work outside of my comfort zone.
I didn't really consider the topic to be that upsetting when there's already a large variety of non-conventional fetish material in my gallery (fat furs, vore, pregnancy, tentacles, ect) but my assumption that you all would be okay with gore was incorrect and I apologize for any discontent I may have caused. While I did upload a thumbnail warning, tag the image correctly and put a "trigger warning" on the image, that apparently was not enough to shield folks from the material they didn't want to see and that wasn't my intention.
As it stands, the image will not be reuploaded so you don't have to worry about that again. I will continue to only post what the majority wants to see and keep non-conventional fetish work out of the public eye. Sorry for the lapse of judgement on my end, hope everyone has a good day!

It seems the problem with the image revolved around the thumbnail warning not showing up for everyone, so I elected to remove the image! | | | Hey guys! So this journal is going to be really quick and straight to the point!
Some of you may or may not have heard, but someone decided to leak the contents of several artist's Patreon pages to the public for free. I won't be directly linking to the website where the content has been posted, but I wanted to give my personal thoughts on the matter. Keep in mind that my thoughts are only a representation of my personal opinion and do not reflect anyone else.
The long and short? Okay!
I'm actually not that upset over the situation as a few other folks are because my Patreon functions in a different way than a few of the other artists involved. As you all are aware, I post all of my art for the public to see already! While the general public gets images that have (what I consider to be) tasteful watermarking on them that doesn't obscure the image, everything that I do is still presented for the public to view. I never have, and never will drop my artwork behind a "paywall" or will make images "pay to view". That's not how I personally like to roll. What my Patreon does offer is higher resolution artpacks of all the images I compete in a single month, reward streams where folks who donate $5 or more can get some pretty nice sketches, and also tutorials and .psd file resources for those who want them. In offering these things, I aimed to keep my art public for everyone to see and enjoy while offering some extra goodies for folks who wanted to support me with a supplemental income to help produce other things for public enjoyment! The Patreon system I have actually has afforded me time to work on free resources like tutorial videos (as seen on youtube), the creation of incredibly comprehensive character sheets for free use (soon to be released, there is already a Floofdog ref sheet .psd for free use) and even getting my own comic into gear! The point of my patreon was entirely to provide more free resources for the general populous!
That all having been said, if the high res copies of some of my artwork have been released, I am okay with it. I want folks to enjoy the work I provide because I'm certainly not a professional by any means so having the ability to make my income on my artwork in such a very niche community is more than I could have ever asked for!

So I'm gonna try and keep this brief because I don't have the energy to type out anything lengthy, but I wanted to let everyone know that things are going a little slow atm. That being said, work is still being done however it's just not at my normal speed.
I've actually been in California again for the last week and a half to help out my family and also plan memorial arrangements for my grandfather who passed recently. I did take my computer (yes, my entire desktop!) with me for the time I've been here and I've been doing my best to get work done at a reasonable rate but given I'm set up on a kitchen table that's bar-stool height, it's been rough!
I was meant to return home yesterday, however on Wednesday I had to go to a dentist for an emergency wisdom tooth removal. I've been dealing with alot of pain from my teeth for a while and it finally got to the point where I couldn't ignore it anymore with one of my teeth and I was lucky enough to have my dentist have time to fit me in and extract the tooth immediately. Overall, the extraction took far longer than planned and due to my wisdom tooth being "hooked" into my jaw bone, it had to be removed in pieces and part of my jawbone was drilled out too. Given the severity of the surgery, my second wisdom tooth pull that was scheduled for yesterday ended up being moved to Monday since my dentist felt I needed time to recover from this one and boy was he right. I've kind of been "out of it" due to the intense amount of medicine I've been put on (mostly Vicodin and high dosages of Amoxocillin) and today has actually been the first day that I've been able to sit up for longer than 10 minutes without vomiting or getting incredibly nauseous. That having been said, I'm going to be moving a little slow on getting things done until at least Monday while I recover from both of these dental surgeries and I wanted to let everyone know.
This doesn't put any of my commissions behind schedule though! All the commissions taken recently are still set for July completion so you should have no worries.
In addition to my dental issues, my partner's Grandfather (who is also local to the area) was recently admitted to the Emergency Room and was recently put on Hospice, so our staying longer than planned has a dual purpose. While I'm recovering, she is spending time with her Grandfather while she still can.
Again, I apologize for the delays in communication however once I am feeling better, I will hop back onto that ASAP!

| | So with the influx of journals I'm seeing of folks "leaving FA", I figured I'd chime and and let folks know that I'm not going anywhere. I understand folks are bothered by the new advertisements (which I have actually never seen any of myself, just screenshots) and if they no longer feel comfortable posting here, that's their prerogative and they're welcome to do as such. I fully support an artist's right to do what they please with their work. The advertisements (rather, the knowledge they exist since I haven't seen them with my own eyes) don't really bother me that much given I come here to post pornography anyways. Having advertisements that contain adult content really isn't an issue to someone like myself who's entire gallery is full of adult content itself. I'm not really afraid of these advertisements "hurting my reputation" (to cite other artists' reasoning) because if I considered myself a "professional" or didn't want my name associated with adult content, I certainly wouldn't be using FA at all, let alone be drawing the subject matter that I do. I know my place in this fandom and I don't try to deny that; I peddle smut, lol. I don't really see the value in having a sense of "pride" in where I choose to peddle smut, so I don't really view any of the other website options as better or worse. Well, I will say that you will never see me on Weasyl but that's purely for the harassment I had received from their staff* and not for any moral reasons beyond that. I also want to again state that I am loyal to my fans, commissioners, and friends; This means that I don't personally find it acceptable to drop the main place where they are centered in order to boast about my "moral" superiority. So Now that things in my life have calmed and settled down, I'm now able to take on my place as a full time artist in a more manageable and organized way; This isn't just good for me, but it's good for you all as commissioners! How it works is now that I am settled in my new place finally, I can work on all of my work on a set schedule, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week in a way that also caters to YOU! What I will be doing is assigning a set time to each and every commission I take on, which commissioners will be able to choose should they so desire. I will be streaming every weekday from 2PM to 10PM (MST) and commissioners will be able to choose time slots if they wish to watch. If a client does not wish to watch (or can not due to work/time zone constraints) I will still be streaming the work on a set time frame. TL:DR, Commissions will now have more slots, everything will be streamed, and all work will be on said schedule.
How this is done: Thanks to a brilliant find by my friend Aurea, I have discovered a service that allows customers to select a time slot they prefer and it appears on a calendar for me that can be accessed from my computer or from an application on my phone; I can instantly see when a slot is filled, manage the slots and have reminders sent to me so I can be sure to stay on top of things! It also will send an email reminder to any person who has sent in a time slot request. Pretty neat, right? --> The service can be found by clicking here! <-- (Please do not set up an appointment until your slot is paid for) Please remember that stream times are currently set in USA MST (UTC-7:00). If you are unsure of what time that relates to your location, there is a calculator available here! -> Time Zone converter <- Stream: For those who can set up a specific time, all streams will be done via my Picarto Channel (link below). Once a time is booked, the stream will happen at the designated time and will go on regardless if the commissioner is present or not unless prior cancellation has been made. If you don't think you can make it, you can cancel your time slot and reschedule for a time that is not already booked! It's a very easy system however I do require 24 hours notice for any cancellation as so I can fill the slot with another piece of work. In the even you wish for the stream session to be private, that's no problem at all! Now that I'm a premium subscriber to Picarto, I can easily establish a private stream setting and will email you a custom URL code to enter your private session prior to the stream starting! It's all pretty dang Neato! For those commissioners who can not be present for a stream, that is also okay! I understand that work, time zone differences, and other factors can make this new feature rough to attend! In that scenario, I will assign your work to an empty time slot and alert you of when that is so you know what day to expect your artwork. Even if you can't be there, you will still receive your work on the scheduled day! | | Hey Furaffinity! So as a few of you may or may not know, Herro and I are moving into a new house pretty soon! In fact, we're moving in about two days! (crazy, right?). The house we found in wonderful and very soon we'll be joining the Arizona Furs! The move is all set and we've planned for nearly everything...except furnishing the house we rented! First of all, thank you. Each and every one of you all! Without you guys, I would be nothing and I certainly wouldn't be here making this announcement.
I'm really full of sappy and gooey emotions right now, so bare with me as I try to put them to paper!
I can't say that when I joined FA those many years ago that I ever expected my presence here to grow to this degree! Just the overwhelming amount of support and comradery in this community has just been one of the best parts of my artistic career and I feel so blessed to have been able to be a part of it and grow with it. I know for a good number of people that watcher/favorite/pageview numbers are like badges of honor or used to promote one's self worth, but for me it's very different. To me, every watcher or favorite is a sign that someone out there likes what I do and wants to support me in continuing to do it. It's motivation to strive to be better, produce better content and be the best person and artist I possibly can be. It's sort of a unspoken cheering on of sorts and it really warms my heart to know that -ten thousand- people like what I do and have chosen to show their support. I'm not sure if I exactly feel worthy of this honor, but I really hope I can do my best to strive in creating the best work I possibly can.
You guys are all so very important to me in ways I can't fully express in words, but if I could go around and give every single one of you a hug (with consent of course), I absolutely would. I know I've said these things before, but I feel it bares repeating. Without our fans and commissioners we furry artists are really no one; we're just average Joes that share our work with the world (in this case it just happens to be sexy animal people). We owe everything to you guys! Even if you're not a commissioner, your presence and support by simply watching or favoriting something is a way to show us you like what we do! For me, every watcher is incentive to work harder, be better and strive to the best I possibly can because I feel I owe it to all of you! While it's not about trading off watchers for better work (artists should strive to better themselves either way), support and love certainly inspire and push us to move forward. You guys inspire me each and every day and have for the last many years! I certainly would not be who I am or where I am as an artist without you guys keeping me motivated <3 I owe so much to all of you.
This community is so very important to me and I am so happy to be part of it. I know not everyone agrees how wonderfully this site and it's users are, but there opinion is certainly not mine. I owe so much to this community and the wonderful people within it. Thank you to Furaffinity for hosting my artwork for these last many years and allowing me to share my work with the people who would enjoy it! I have met my best friends, the love of my life and so many amazing people thanks to the services FA provides and I will always be loyal to my fans here no matter what. I kind of wanted to address something briefly since it's gotten a bit out of control! First and foremost I want to say that I love all my watchers and I wish I had the time to talk to all of you all the time, but I am only one person and I just don't have the time! While it's flattering that some many folks want to have casual conversation with me, I have to ask that you guys try not to do it via email!
I've been pretty darn busy irl as of the last month! Preparing to do a big, out of state move (which is happening the first of March!), Getting all our affairs sorted before the move, helping family on both my side and my partner's sides, getting my taxes settled (which is a huge task for independent business owners since we don't get refunds and for artists like myself we get long annoyingly tough tax forms), and just general adult stuff (lame) and still working on art in between!
It all can get pretty hectic so I haven't been able to check emails daily like I had in the past! Lately, I've had a huge influx of emails in which folks are looking for casual conversation (things like general topics, asking to play games like smash bros, asking to roleplay (which I don't do!) and other ins and odds)! Again, I hate to be a jerk and ask people to stop because I do love getting to know my fans but it's become a huge problem for me! Since I can only sit down a few days a week to answer emails recently, the influx of emails like that has made it difficult for me to keep track of and respond to commissioners and my patreon subscribers! I actually sat down a few days ago and sorted emails for 6 hours and barely made a dent between politely replying to general folks and talking business with clients. So for the time being, I have to ask that unless you're currently in commission status with me, please try to refrain from shooting me an email until I've settled in and sorted things all out after my move! That's not to say I never want those types of emails, just for not for a while! I hope folks can understand!
Also, as a note to current commissioners and clients; If you have sent me an email within the last two weeks and you have not heard a reply by Monday, PLEASE contact me! I'm going to try and have them all sorted out by Sunday night so anyone who has emailed me commission-wise should have a reply by then. If you don't get a reply, please send me an email (a new one, if you had a chain going with me) if you can! I've noticed some very odd snaffu with gmail lately where emails have gone missing and I can't find them at all! I've had entire email chains just disappear on me even though I never delete any commissioner messages! Yes, I've tried checking spam/other folders and they are just nowhere to be found.
If anyone knows why this is happening and how I can fix it, I would LOVE the advice or help because it's really become a nuisance (especially because I've had Dr.'s Appointment emails/family emails disappear too, not just clients)!
