hello everyone im here to talk about the new rules
i think theyre pretty self explanatory for the most part but ive noticed a few things in how youve been enforcing them

- being pro-splinter doesnt count as advertising
i noticed one of you ban someone for advertising after merely mentioning secapedia yesterday and thats not how i want the rule enforced
the offsiters part is deliberately gone because im confident the site can prosper without having to completely memoryhole all competitors
obviously outright shilling is still banned but i dont want people to have to selfcensor when discussing splinters, expressing pro-splinter opinions when the topic comes up is totally fine

- the no compaints outside of /q/ rule
not checked how youve been enforcing this one but basically its reserved for when people are disrupting the board by spamming complaint threads

I originally planned on posting this at /mediator/, however I could not as I was promoted a day earlier.

Recently, the /soy/im rediscovered steganography tools and are embedding anything they can on otherwise normal images. I have assembled an user script that adds scanning tools to incoming approval queue images. ("Assembled" as I've not coded anything original kek).

The slider checks for hidden images.
The "Decode" button checks for encoded strings embeded within the image.

These can be somewhat laggy and may fuck with the image's resolution inside the queue, so use it only if you really suspect something is off with an image.
