Kaapi Machines raises funding from Sedna HoReCa

Coffee equipment and solutions provider Kaapi Machines has raised nearly $5.3 million (Rs 50 crore) in fresh funding from Sedna HoReCa, a PE-backed B2B solutions provider for the HoReCa (hotels, restaurants, and cafes and catering) segment.

The partnership aims to expand Kaapi Machines’ product portfolio, strengthen its manufacturing capabilities, and enhance its technology stack, warehousing, and service infrastructure, the company said in a statement.

Kaapi Machines will also pursue select opportunities in adjacent product categories for its existing customer base by leveraging Sedna’s capabilities.

Founded in 2007 by Abhinav Mathur, Kaapi Machines provides a range of professional coffee equipment—including espresso machines, grinders and brewing solutions—serving both institutional and retail customers.

The company is targeting revenues of over Rs 150 crore in the current financial year and plans to scale its operations further over the next two to three years.

Quest Global invests in Lavni Ventures

Quest Global Engineering Services Ltd, an independent pure-play engineering services firm, on Monday announced a strategic investment in Lavni Ventures Fund II, marking one of the fund’s largest commitments to date.

Lavni Ventures is a SEBI-registered Category II alternative investment fund that backs early-stage, science-led startups across sectors such as climate, energy and health. The firm reviews more than 400 deep-tech opportunities annually.

Quest Global said the investment aligns with its long-term innovation strategy and will support the next generation of deep-tech solutions. In addition to capital, portfolio companies of Lavni Ventures will gain access to Quest Global’s engineering expertise, technical mentorship, and its global enterprise ecosystem to help validate and scale innovations.

“Through this investment, we are backing the next generation of deep-tech innovators and giving them access to the kind of engineering talent and experience that can help turn bold ideas into lasting impact,” said Ajit Prabhu, Co-Founder and CEO of Quest Global.
