I’m going to assume that their stance was not “Israel should have been tougher on Hamas and invaded Gaza sooner, rather than negotiating with them, allowing them to get funds from Qatar, letting almost 20,000 Gazans work in Israel, and ‘practically turn[ing] a blind eye’ to rocket fire”, which is, as far as I can tell, what the article claims the leniency was?

Because that is a valid, consistent stance that the article does provide support for.

But, considering that Israel eventually stopped just some of those things and the world accused them of genocide, and also the general attitude of Tumblr, I’m thinking that the person citing this didn’t read past the headline. Or even past the URL. Or even past the propaganda from someone else that cited it to misinform people, most likely.
