A Pocketpair executive has amused the Palworld community after publicly reacting to fan-made mods that give female Pals “exaggerated redesigns”. Rather than condemning them, Communications Director John “Bucky” Buckley reinforced the studio’s long-standing acceptance of the game’s active modding community.
John “Bucky” Buckley, Pocketpair’s Communications Director and Publishing Manager, recently responded on Twitter to a pair of fan-made mods that dramatically altered the appearance of two female Pals, Sekhmet and Lovander:
Many were amused by the senior Pocketpair representative openly acknowledging the more lewd corner of the modding scene.
Palworld has supported mods since its early access launch, and the community has produced everything from quality-of-life improvements and gameplay overhauls to cosmetic replacements and crossover content. Following the game’s massive 1.0 update—which introduced more than 200 additional Pals and helped push concurrent player numbers back toward one million—the number of available mods has surged even further.
The timing of Buckley’s comments has also drawn attention because Pocketpair released a PC update focused specifically on improving mod stability shortly afterward.
