I mean it's annoying that they portray the Soviet Union as grey and snow-blanketed when it's set in June. But I was here for one person, Anastasia Belikova and I think they delivered. I was hoping for some sort of reframing so her being the second choice, barely qualified was a great introduction proper. I correctly guessed that she was a party member, that mainly because for the Molly/Anastasia fic it’s good to have contrast. But her literally going off-script is going to be interesting now that she can’t be bumped off. And she spacewalked so Ellen could space run, doing Apollo 24 heroics but no one gets to know was great.I know it would dethrone Ellen as the first gay astronaut but Anastasia has got a Sally Ride look to her and my other prediction is that she has an arranged marriage to another cosmonaut as a publicity stunt like Tereshkova, and her being queer would add a darker dimension to that.Speaking of, it’s good to get confirmation that Tereshkova as the first woman in space, I know it happened pre-divergence but I was wondering if they would mention it given where she’s ended up.I’ve rambled a bit but it’s nice to be positive about FAM again after the last two series.
