One objection to changing the system so that it allows teens to love adults is that the brain doesn't fully develop until they're 18 or even 25. However, we know Blacks have lower IQs and it would be immoral to prevent them from voting because of their IQ. That would be racism. Just because someone has a poorer brain, such as teens, blacks, and disabled folk, that doesn't mean they should be barred from activities. To be clear, I do think ageism that bars teen marriage may be similar to racism and ableism.

Democracy is ass anyways I wouldn't let a lot of people vote maybe even including myself

Exactly, Teens can consent, sex isn’t that hard to understand, teens learn more difficult tasks such as driving and America is crazy about letting everyone have guns which both of those things are obviously more dangerous than having sex.

Full brain development (which doesn’t happen until 25 - 30 usually so in their own logic age of consent should be 25 or 30) isn’t even required to do certain tasks anyways, it just needs to be developed enough to a certain point, love is love, people need to stop being such bigots.

Tbh I ruined this post. While the comparison to the blacks makes sense, I accidentally added disabled people to the comparison because they can be low IQ too. I was thinking of high functioning disabled people like one down syndrome activist or a married down syndrome couple. On top of that, marriage is like voting, so Jim Crow laws similar because you go to the government to do both. I think the discrimination disabled people feel is a little less similar to preventing marriage. Since some disabled people may be pretty intellectually disabled, it's irrelevant to a comparison to teen marriage... I hadn't thought about this long enough before I posted this.

It’s still a good post
