Since radiation and sun damage causes aging, he is aging slower than most people.However! Magneto's extended lifespan is mostly due to comic shenanigans. Namely, he got turned into a baby, stayed a baby for a while, then was aged back up to a man in his twenties (younger than he was, pre-babyization). He's also gotten rejuvenated by various sources. He used a machine from the Genegineer (human scientist who figured out how to turn humans into mutants to use them for slave labor) to enhance his powers. His genes were "restored" which made him younger. He's been killed and brought back a bunch, most recently in Krakoa, but honestly, the man has been killed as often as Jean Grey.Basically, Magneto should be over one hundred (since he was an adult when he entered Auschwitz), but physically, he's probably in his thirties or forties.earmo-imniOut of curiosity as another Magneto fan who’s only dabbled in the comics, is X-Men: Magneto: Testament not his official comic book backstory? Sonderkommando were usually killed or worked to death within six months, and he escaped at the end of the Holocaust, so he'd be 18 in 1945.It's been a while since I read Magneto Testament (which is an excellent comic and I recommend it highly, to anyone else reading), but the story stretches over years, starting before Kristallnacht and ending with the Sonderkommando Revolt. (Possibly the entire liberation of Auschwitz, I'm not sure which.) He might start off being 14, but enters Auschwitz later. I seem to remember him being in high school in the first issue or so, when he's forced to throw a javelin and the teachers are upset that a Jew does as well as an Aryan. Again, it's been years, but I should reread it.Magneto Testament is the accepted canon now. But there have been other stories that make him even younger, including one where he's an infant and his mother hides him among a mass grave. Which doesn't make any sense, because then he wouldn't remember the Holocaust at all. (Also there's no way an infant is surviving in those conditions with a dead mother. It's just not possible.) The movies make him ten-ish in Auschwitz, which is impossible, because children were generally killed. The first X-Men movie has Magneto as a kid separated from his parents who are killed, but it should be reversed—his father and mother were probably capable of working but he wasn't. It's just a little historical inaccuracy to make him younger. (Assuming he's ten in the first scene of the X-Men (2000), he'd be about 67 when the movie is in the present day.)TLDR: yes, Magneto Testament is the official backstory, but that's been changed from the original. Retcons, including Magneto Testament, have progressively made him younger when he enters Auschwitz.magnetothemagnificentYeah in Magneto: Testament #4 he's pretty clearly 16-17 when he arrives in Auschwitz. He's under 18, but not dramatically so. There's a scene when he arrives in Auschwitz (in September 1942) and his former teacher, who is already a prisoner there, tells him to tell the Nazis that he's 18 (implying that he isn't already) and he does. He could possibly be 15, as there's a scene a few pages later when a guard comes looking for boys under 16, and Max looks scared, but that fear could also be for the other boys with him who are under 16.But also Magneto: Testament, while better than many other comics, definitely has some historical plot holes, the main one being how Max ended up in Auschwitz in the first place. In the comic, we learn that his family first fled Germany for Poland, and wound up in the Warsaw Ghetto, and then tried to escape the Warsaw Ghetto and were caught and shot, and Max subconsciously was able to deflect the bullets around himself and crawled out of the mass grave where his family and other Jews were. But he escaped, and presumably got recaptured, but there really is no story in canon to this day about how he went from crawling out of a mass grave to winding up in Auschwitz. If he made it back to the Warsaw Ghetto, then he would have been taken to Treblinka, not Auschwitz. So presumably he somehow wound up in another area where the Jews were taken to Auschwitz, but that hasn't been explained yet (a shame, really, because that period of time where Max is a kid who just watched his entire family die and is trying to hide from the Nazis and find other Jews only to wind up captured by them again is really so compelling). Anyway, seconding @shofarsogood, Magneto has been de-aged so many times in canon (not to mention his slowed aging due to his mutation) that whether he was a young adult or teenager when he entered Auschwitz really doesn't matter all that much. Although actually right now in canon he's been suffering from R-LDS (Resurrection-Linked Degenerative Sickness) I guess because he's been resurrected too many times?
