We saw early on that she wants to make things better in the world, and fight for things. Tbf, I do really enjoy her and Geoffrey’s scenes, so they can stay friends and Beryl can go to Gay Liberation marches.- Joyce getting her divorce and then developing a mentor/mentee relationship with the nurse from 15x03, because as supportive as Phyllis and co are, Sister Marcus can help with things Phyllis etc just don’t understand. Oh and maybe a girlfriend that she also picked up on her hospital secondment. - Trixie asking for a divorce and then buying a clinic with the divorce settlement, to continue her life’s work of helping women to be empowered.- Rosalind being empowered to ask for a shag, having her contraception work and then when Cyril started being like ‘we’ll get married one day’ rejecting that cos she’s not expected to marry the first bloke she sleeps with, and her leaving to go experience more of the world. - Phyllis and Mrs W to celebrating Lucille’s divorce as the best thing for her, even though it broke some hearts, instead of all but blaming her for the marriage breakdown.I am not going to say marriage and children ever after is a bad outcome, but it’s the only ending the show really gives its lay midwives lately. #call the midwife312
