Billion-dollar award against Iraqi airline surfaces in US court
An Egyptian travel company has asked a US court to enforce an award worth nearly US$1 billion against Iraqi Airways and the Iraqi state, which it won in a Cairo-seated ad hoc arbitration after being accused of being a “front” for the former regime of Saddam Hussein.
