I still think of AI as a calculator. If you never learned calculus, the limits of what you can do with a calculator are basic. But the greater your mathematical knowledge, the greater the potential a calculator offers. It becomes an intelligence amplifier.
in other words, with gen AI, a student judged to be a B can delivery A quality work while putting in C level effort. Simply means you need to start judging students on a different axis. Work output is no longer an indicator of student quality.
That’s what our teachers told us when calculators were introduced, now we do more complex calculations we would never do without calculators and computers. Don’t take advise like this, use AI to speed your work, it won’t make u wiser anymore than a book would, but more efficientJoin the conversation
