It's a lawsuit unboxing!! A federal lawsuit involving a dispute over the ownership of Forsaken! @Forsaken_News @rblxforsaken. Let's go!!
- The plaintiffs are the owners of Forsaken, known by their Discord handles, Basil and Hytoko. The defendant is the former owner, known as Soul.
- 3/ The lawsuit starts out with a nice summary: Soul transferred the game to Basil and Hytoko after some ugly accusations against him. Now he wants to unwind the deal and get ownership back.
- 4/ Let's walk through the facts, and then hit the claims. First, some background. Soul created the game and it was massively popular.
- 5/ But then Soul was hit with a bunch of ugly accusations. And the player base was outraged.
- 6/ The backlash became too much for Soul to handle. So he temporarily transferred ownership of the game to Pariet.
- 7/ But the player base reacted negatively to the transfer to Pariet. And Soul changed his mind. He and Pariot agreed to terminate their agreement. Instead, Soul transferred the game to Basil and Hytoko, long time developers of the game, in June 2025.
- 8/ The redacted provisions probably cover payments that Basil and Hytoko are supposed to make to Soul. That part of the transfer agreement is probably confidential.
- 9/ At first it looked like the transfer to Hytoko and Basil was a huge success. Soul was happy.
- 10/ Soul, writing under the Discord name Sunny, congratulated Hytoko and Basil for their work:
- 11/ Soul was apparently trying to hide all this from his parent according to the complaint, and when they found out, they wanted to unwind the deal.
- 12/ The next part is hard to follow because of the redactions. It appears that Soul directed payments to go to a Roblox account that he had lost access to, and wanted the payments sent somewhere else. And Basil & Hytoko wired Soul $45k at one point to make sure he was getting
- 13/ uh-oh. They allege that Soul started defaming Basil & Hytoko and violating confidentiality.
- 14/ Yikes. They allege (on information and belief) that Soul was running an anonymous X account to leak info. (Bad fact if true).
- 15/ At the end of last year, they allege that Soul got access to his Roblox account restored (so he could access the payments), but Soul refused to accept the money and told Roblox to keep the account frozen.16/ The final (alleged) fact: Soul tells Basil and Hytoko that the transfer agreement is void, because he wants ownership of the game back.17/ And now the claims. There are only two. First, Basil and Hytoko are seeking a declaratory relief that the transfer agreement is valid and should remain in place. And second, that Soul breached the confidentiality provision of the contract.18/Final thoughts. I Soul is trying to claim that he made the transfer to Hytoko & Basil under duress or he was fraudulently induced to sign. Those are both very difficult arguments to sustain and prove. Soul's response will be due in about 30 days. We'll know more about hisAnd here a link to download or read the complaint in its entirety:
- So Soul was @/forsakenburner this whole time.
