I disagree. I tried TOR browser and got the same result

@liul-dotcom

Yeah, I have the same issue, it looks like some motherfuckers hijacked that domain and changed it to thoeseeducation com, just try to use vpn in Asian areas not North America, I can not access the website when I used the vpn in North America area.

@Madblaster6

Someone must have set a bad redirect on the site, if you VPN from Belgium it works fine.

as-muncher commented on Jul 16, 2026

@as-muncher

If it's not porn sites, then it's some other site. Has btdig been hacked by Anonymous or something? I would be great if btdig were a little more resilient, so that I could go to a mirror site to look at the magnet links that btdig has.

DWolf19 commented on Jul 16, 2026

@DWolf19

I apologize if others are experiencing this issue. I stated that because it is not a problem for me.
Before, I couldn't search but could open the torrent page. Now I can search without VPN.
For certain country IPs, something changes.

I've played around with my VPN a bit and found that the URL is redirected if one is listed as coming from the US, the UK, and Canada. Everywhere else I've tested is fine.

@QINGCHARLES

Thank you for the solution. I'll have to VPN from somewhere crazy. It is Javascript in the home page causing it? I could write a script to strip it out.

iam-py-test commented on Jul 18, 2026

@iam-py-test

No, there isn't any way to strip it out as far as I can tell.
When accessed from an IP which triggers the redirect, it returns nothing but the redirect. Even if you prevented it from redirecting, you would be left with a blank page.
In fact, it makes three attempts to redirect; an HTTP refresh header, a JavaScript redirect, and a meta refresh if JavaScript is disabled.

Looks like the website is almost dead, hopefully, someone will fix it. I can not access with most of vpns now. But there are still very few ip which can allow me access btdig.

@tuxayo

The .onion is working again for me (as opposed to the last week)

yolanjoy commented on Jul 20, 2026

@yolanjoy

It seems working with VPN. Is there a way on the site to request re-seed? Thanks

QINGCHARLES commented on Jul 20, 2026

@QINGCHARLES

Can confirm onion site is actually working.

Not on btdig. Btdig is just a directory. You'd have to go elsewhere on the Internet to try and find someone to seed it.
