I apologize profusely for the lack of updates in well...forever. Haven't really been drawing much since the last update - just a handful of sketches I posted on Discord. Haven't really been able to focus due to fairly obvious reasons. Dad's gone through 5 weeks of radiation treatments for the tumor in his head - Mom and I have been taking turns driving him to the clinic, with the last session finished on the 1st of the month, and responded well, though with some unpleasant but relatively mild side effects. He's trying to get a follow up visit with an oncologist, currently not being helped by scheduling fuckups. I want to say I'll be throwing myself back onto my Cintiq and start churning out new works, but to be honest, with the way things are, I'm not sure when that'll happen. Take care.

I'm sorry for the continued lack of activity here. I received some news regarding my dad's condition; after numerous tests and consultations with doctors locally and at the Mayo Clinic, they believe his condition to be terminal - he has about six months. I don't know what else to say.

Wish I had some good news; unfortunately - that is not the case; after several biopsies, scans and other diagnostics, it is confirmed my dad has cancer. Suffice to say, entertaining the possibility of drawing in the foreseeable future is not a realistic one at this point. That being said, this will probably be my last update for a good long while. Well, been a while since I've put anything up here; long story short - my drive to draw (and pretty much do anything else, honestly) has basically fallen off a cliff over the past two or three months. To top things off, both my parents have had health issues (as my mom is in her early 70s and dad in his early 80s) as of late. As of today, things took a bad swerve; Dad was complaining of sinus pain today; he's had issues for them for a while now but not this bad. He was supposed to have surgery done on the 16th of next month to correct it...so he could have another surgery to have a pancreatic cyst removed. Well, he was to taken to the ER, and I just found out a tumor was found on his face, and as I'm typing this he's having an MRI done. Hospital recommended having emergency surgery to remove said tumor, but they're not sure they have the proper staff or facilities to perform the procedure. That's all I have to say; happy fucking new year.
