Well the April Fools video was a success. Special award to Charles, who make 6 angry posts about how wrong I am about the Bismarck. Nothing like a subject of the King with an emotional hair trigger to provide entertainment in the comment section. Then again, the commie bros run a close second, maybe a year from now we'll find out. Back to serious business. A new video is coming on an easy way to start WW2 airplane engines. I see a lot of tutorials on this going over the literal procedure in the manual, very often they did this differently and the method I'll show it's way easier and faster, and works in any airplane. It's going to be helpful for the flight sim crowd but there will be a lot of good info for everyone. OK, new poll to decide the video after the start up video. Keep in mind the actual deciding poll is the one on Patreon, but it will be interesting to compare the two. They are often quite similar. Greg

Greetings, the new version of the 109F video is up. It was stuck in youtube's new demonitization/review hell, which apparently started on March 10th of this year, but now it's out. Please watch it. Changes from the previous version: 1. Clear audio with a more natural tone. I used a new mic and with some tips from you folks, I think I have this down pretty well. 2. Volume, it's higher than before, hopefully it will be loud enough. It seems to me you can just turn it up, but some viewers reported that they listen when on the road and it's not loud enough when in a noisy vehicle. I'm trying here, but not promises. 3. I added more info on the very rare 109Fs with wing cannons and the one with heavier machine guns. There isn't much info on this, but I think you will like what I added. 4. The pace of the video is slightly slower than the previous video. I think it's better. On a negative note, the AI invasion of youtube is winning. There are now AI versions of my 109F video. It can take me a month to make a video, but AI can simply copy the script with enough changes to make it "new" and add in pictures all in a few mins. That's a problem for youtubers. The AI videos are not accurate, nor can they seem to match the right pictures to the subject matter, which I try really hard to do, but the AI slop channels don't care about history or accuracy, they are just after the views. That's their only metric. Thanks for reading my rant. Greg

Many of you know I'm trying to improve the audio quality of my videos. My last two videos generated more than the usual amount of audio complaints, and by a large margin so I'm about to load up a new version of each. Here are the details below: The 109F video's main complaint was that I sounded like AI. I can't let that continue as I'm trying to differentiate my videos from AI slop as much as I can, so I'm recording it again. While I'm in there I'm going to add a bit about Galland's up-gunned 109Fs. Thanks to many of you I was able to locate pictures of those planes. There isn't much info on them, but as I'm in there anyway I'll make that improvement. The main complaint on the Wright canard video was audio volume, which is great, that's super easy to fix, so between the lessons learned about audio in the last two videos, which were both a bit experimental in this way, I'll be able to have much improved audio from this point on. As with any video, after I release it I think of things I should have changed or added, it's the same with this one. I want to add some more specific dates and sources for things I said, which seem to generate comments from some non believers. Thanks for reading this, and of course for watching videos on this channel! Greg

I hate to keep posting about this, but here is the latest on the 109F video. Youtube has now had 12 hours to crawl through the new "censored" version. I made only one change to it. I altered the picture with Adolf to make him shorter and I blurred him a bit. That way, anyone looking at it will know the who it is and it won't screw up the historical context of the picture, while at the same time, not providing real image of him. That's it, that's the maximum amount of censorship I'm willing to do. At this time, youtube shows that it's monetized. I'll include a picture of that below. I'm going to put it up at 10am Central as a Premier. That way if it gets demonetized AFTER it goes live (which is what happened last time) I'll pull it down AFTER the premier finishes so at least those who started watching can see the whole thing. Then it's going up in the Patreon section and probably public on Rumble. I'm really sorry about all this, but I'm not going to let some AI algorithm push me around and further. Click the image below to see the whole picture. So if youtube demonetizes it, you will know they changed it after it went live, which is a really dirty thing for them to do. Most creators won't catch that and will loose out on all the revenue. Greg
