If I could go back and spend 10 minutes inside pompeii during the eruption of mount vesuvius instead of playing this I would.

This ♥♥♥♥ is boring as hell.

Honestly the game isn't that bad.

Obviously the graphics, UI and mechanics are dated, but it does what it's supposed to. You get placeable defenses, weapons, consumables, and ammo to purchase after every wave to enable you to murder all of the next wave. At the end of each wave certain items go on sale, so use that to make your cash stretch even further.

Not everything is equally useful though:
- Wooden barricades are S tier. You'd think enemies could smash them in seconds, but that's not the case. For the 150-200 bucks it costs to get them, they are 100% worth it for area denial while you shoot them in the face and/or regenerate health after the swarm has gnawed on your ankles for a bit.
- FYI, the turret you buy is expensive and you also have to buy a gun to mount on it and you also have to buy ammo for that mounted gun! Plan accordingly or you might find yourself blowing all your currency on a turret that doesn't have a gun...
- Chainsaw is awesome because it gets swift kills and doesn't require any ammo.
- Use the pistol as long as you can to save money for defenses, but just know the damage falls off very fast.
- First three levels should go into health - health regen - speed for maximum survivability.
- The assault rifle sounds like a good idea, but it's got an awkward pause in between bursts of fire that can end up making it underwhelming.

R.I.P. to everyone that bought the game recently, I hope you got your money's worth. Though I'm guessing you probably did.

Reminds me of Boxhead Rambo. It kinda makes me sad, but in a GOOD way. It's one of those game when you know it's going to be good right off the bat! I love it. 11/10 <3

Honestly, it feels like something I would have played on Kongregate or Armor Games 15-20 years ago. Since it's free, I'm not mad about that.

very fun co op game to play with friends. nice and cheap as well as a bonus so would recommend

pretty fun game ngl also sometimes hilarious with the steam workshop skins

bit challenging, the ui is bit incontinent, the game needs more work, but generally this is good game. at last, this game can be run almost on anything

This game and the original are probably some of the more fun co-op games you can play with just about anyone

Is it a complicated, knock your socks off game? No
Does it offer endless replayability? Depending on your definition, maybe
Can you play it with anyone who's hammered or sober? Yes

Give it a go, have some fun!

Just as bland as the non HD version yet in todays gaming market of half assed UE5 live service slop i have to rate it highly.
The game actually works. It does not waste your time. It does not nickel and dime you. There is no political messaging. You get what you pay for: zombies and defences, again. In HD. $0.00 well spent.
