Intamsys Funmat HT Hotend Upgrade

Since we are using our Intamsys of the first generation now for almost 3 years, we now start struggling with getting spare parts in Europe. We mostly print PC and sometimes Ultem 9085. All Hotends we have are pretty worn out and it seems like there are no first gen Hotends are available anymore. Same for the original glass printing surfaces.

I was thinking of upgrading the printer to the third generation Hotend which comes with the HT Enhanced. Is there anyone out there with any experience doing this modification?

The electrical connections for the hotend seem to be the same for the normal HT and the Enhanced. We already upgraded to the Bondtech extruder after getting crappy results after half a year of printing.

Hope there is anyone out there who has an Idea, since this spare part situation is pretty annoying for a 3 year old former 7000€ machine.

Reach out to Vision Miner in the states. There is an upgrade wire harness, replacement hot ends and carbon fiber build plates. They might have a vendor Europe you can go through but out of everyone I reached out for support they seemed to be the most knowledgeable.

i am from hong kong using intamsys HT and 410pro for printing our own engineering biomaterials. we also face similar issues about reliability and parts. so we have been working with shanghai intamsys, head office, for tech support.

if you can list out all those parts related issue, my colleague can ask intamsys for tech support and parts. and maybe we can help u guys to buy those.

we are intamsys partner. perhaps if it is a good business to help maintaining intamsys printer, we can put parts online anytime and sell them on demand.

    Hi Canary

I'm aiming to resurrect our Funmat HT - I wonder whether you have had success with your upgrades? I'm considering the Bondtech extruder.

Did you have success finding a hotend that worked? I initially thought that hotend and heatbreak/heat creep was my problem but I could be wrong no doubt.

    thanks, all the best
