My understanding of history is lacking in parts, and I also don't necessarily trust the first thing I read. Every time I ask this question I get a response like, "They should be there because their holy book says so" or "They were there 3,000 years ago." But by that logic we should give the United States to the Apache, Navajo, and Choctaw tribes since they were there before us, and Europe should go to the Romans since they had control of it 2,300 years ago. There must be another reason that I haven't been made privy to.
