Cryptocurrency is a digital and decentralized form of currency created by the jews that is based on blockchain technology. Although originally regarded as a method through which shady hackers could exchange illegal material without federal oversight, it has become far more commonplace within the past decade (AKA it lost all of it's original based intentions to overthrow the banking system and is now nothing more than an investment opportunity). Today, cryptocurrency is a common avenue of financial speculation.
The first cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, was created by "Satoshi Nakamoto" in 2008; the first recorded transaction was the exchange of 10,000 BTC(this is worth hundreds of millions in USD today) for a pizza.[1] Over the course of the 2010s, Bitcoin's value grew immensely, and other cryptocurrencies (most notably Ethereum) began to pop up as well. Government responses to cryptocurrencies have varied widely across the globe: El Salvador codified cryptocurrency as legal tender (up until 2025), while China has banned it entirely.
As cryptocurrency became more well-known by the public, many shitcoins (low-value tokens attempting to replicate Bitcoin's meteoric rise) appeared; the most famous one,Dogecoin, was endorsed by Elon Musk ximself. Crypto rugpull schemes have become a common occurence, which invariably follow the same structure: the shitcoin's creators allot themselves tokens before the coin's release, the coin debuts to the public, retards spend millions of dollars on the token (the value of which then promptly plummets). This type of scheme is commonly referred to as a "Pump-and-Dump", and some people STILL fall for them despite this exact thing having happened dozens of times.
This should go without saying, but if (you) see a soy-related coin (e.g. something called "$SOY" or "$COB") being promoted, DO NOT FUCKING BUY IT. You VILL lose your money, and it will be entirely your own fault for being a gullible faggot.

Blockchain technology involved chains of blocks. These blocks contain information about the block itself, the block behind it, and the block infront. This makes a digital leger. This also means that EVERY single transaction is visible, SO NEVER CONNECT YOUR BITCOIN ADDRESS TO YOUR REAL LIFE IDENTITY - NEVER BUY FROM A CENTRALISED EXCHANGE - USE A DIFFERENT ADDRESS AFTER EACH TRANSACTION.
To add new blocks, you must complete a Proof of WorkTM. This is done to prevent fraud. Proof of Work is very simple, the chain gives a number between 1 and 10 thrembillion, and if your GPU guesses that number correctly (it guesses a LOT of numbers), then the block is mined. To incentivize mining and therefore the function of the system, mining a block gives you a certain reward (For bitcoin, this is 3.12 BTC, which is about 150,000$). Because of this, bitcoin mining is very popular in countries with cheap electricity. But if (You) want to mine crypto, you should consider that Solo mining (where its just you mining) almost never gives rewards (its equivelant to buying ~12 lottery tickets every day). So, you should mine in a Mining Pool.
Mining Pools are basically a collection of computers mining the same block. This means that blocks (and therefore rewards) are mined at a much faster pace (maybe once a day), but you don't get the full reward, you only get your fair share which is typically a couple dollars because your PC is not good.
Monero (ticker: XMR) uses different mining technology that I dont want to type out because im an SLF. Basically, mining in a pool increases the risk of a 51% attack, which can happen if the pool controls most of the network hashrate (think, a pool gets so large that it can just print new blocks on its own and enact fraud). So, XMR presents P2Pool mining which works on some Terry davis decentralised shroom magic shit that makes the network more secure. Its also the most accessible currency to mine, as it only requires a CPU which almost any computer has. Even a shitty Thinkpad from the 2000's can get a couple dozen cents per day on the nano pool mining XMR. Because XMR is anonymous and untraceable, its illegal in many countries. Before using it, check up on local laws and make sure you have good OPSEC, so even in the event of your country banning this freedom currency you'll stay safe.
