This could be the new Brutal Doom it released on April 10 on the year it features an entirely new Doom experience that you can insert into the original IWADS such as Doom 1 and 2 it does not add new levels or story or campaign but it instead adds new weapons new effects a new feel new enemy behavior and even more the game feels very different for example the flares on the floor are added and the new lighting effects there are new enemies such as the wrath that replaces all spectres aka the invisible pinkys and one very special feature I love is the terror sphere that will scare all enemies away until it runs out

all enemies have a new behavior too and it changes up how you go about it also the sergents drop a rifle now which is between a pistol and a shotgun and it does get kind of useless until it becomes the sniper if you get the supershotgun upgrades speaking of weapons you get new options like the pistol is more rapid fire unless you alt fire in that case it will be the suppressed pistol which takes longer between shots but it will not alert nearby enemies and i think does a little more damage the rifle also has the doom beta bayonet and this time it is not like the fist or chainsaw but the more you hit it causes our enemies to bleed and the more you hit the more he bleeds and it does more and more damage the more you use it on someone we also get the shotgun having a pump action alt fire and 5 times you can do quick shots and also the shotgun bullets go through enemies but this does not apply to the supershotgun and that includes a hook alt fire to bring an enemy too you then my favorite is the chaingun and the fire is less accurate then the original doom but the new feature is if you use alt fire it will spin faster and this makes it so it gets hot and if you get it orange it will be too hot to handle and you have to let it cool down but here is my strategy if you turn the alt fire fast spin mode off it will cool down faster also there is the chainsaw which takes time to charge but you can throw it on enemies and until it lowers the charge it will stick to the enemy don't forget the plasma gun it can also freeze enemies with alt fire which turns them into ice and if you break the ice it freezes nearby enemies and the bfg now has an alt fire based on the beta bfg but it is more useful and is very rapid fire but now we need to talk about one of the most changed mechanics and that is the fists

the FISTS are one of the best weapons there is a 4 line bar that fills up every punch and if you alt fire it does a different one based on the punch every 4 punches it resets you get to smush enemies in half and you can also make them dizzy and slap them to scare them away and do a shoulder bash its all sorts of opportunities not to mention when you find the zombie scientists who spawn at old super shotgun locations and if you kill them they will drop a weapon like a fire exteinisher and all these do is upgrade your pre existing fist moves but the fire extisnisher which is from Doom Nokia RPG also has a little use like it can put out lost soul flames instantly also there is a kick button and it knows enemies away and it can parry enemies like cacodemon fireballs and a lost soul can possess a dead enemy and bring them back to life but faster if it is not a boss but if you kick a lost soul at an enemy it launches them far back and if it hits a dead body then the enemy comes back to life as a good guy now and he will help protect you and kill enemies there are also plenty of new weapons that I do not spoil for you its best if you play it yourself but I will say my issue with this mod is that 1 the rail gun is too powerful and makes every weapon uselss because of the alt fire which lasts for ever and does too high damage and there is no reason not to use it and does not cost bullets or have recoil also items like the revolver does not explain it well it could do more like with the coin and there should be a wiki talking about the mod features for example why should I use the grenade and also some of the extra items like the elemental mines that is way too vague
