One of the most coveted 2028 offensive tackles in the West: Murrieta (Calif.) Murrieta Valley's Vincent Shields.
The talented front liner is up to 19 offers and counting. With the '28 cycle now able to receive direct contact from staffs, Shields has started to dive into his recruiting process.
Shields admits he's come across plenty of lessons along the way, but he's enjoyed the early going.
"It's definitely been interesting," Shields said. "You start to see who really wants you, and who is just throwing stuff out there. That's been the biggest eye opener for me. The process has been a learning experience, I've definitely learned a lot going schools and even just talking to coaches over the phone... I've had a good handful of coaches let me know that I'm up there on their board, and they really try to keep in touch with me."
So far, four programs have impressed.
