I'm not sure if I can explain this well, but "id" is an old psychology term referring to the part of your brain/personality that's focused on instinctual desires. So something that's a guilty pleasure, self-indulgently satisfying, like a juicy trope you love even if the logical part of your brain thinks it's kind of ridiculous would be scratching the id, or "iddy."

I think asking for recommendations using a term you've made up and not explained very well is going to hamper your recommendations here a bit...

It's become such a commonly used term in my SFF circle that I didn't think twice, I
mistakenly figured it would be universal here too.

Small addition for people who might struggle with the language barrier (like I did), but otherwise know the terms.

It's Freud's model of the psyche. Your inner workings can be categorized into three states. Id: subconscious desires and instincts; Super Ego: Morality and ethics; Ego: conscious decisions and rational thoughts that find a reasonable balance between the other two.
