Porn Addicts / Gooners / Coomers / /trash/ / 2chen / Sturdychan - Porn addicts that are proud of their degeneracy and want to spread it around the people. This is not a porn debate thread!

You'll run into a number of "plural systems" in these groups; often they'll have a bot that lets them give their alters/tulpas/familiars their own profiles.
Yeah, usually PluralKit or Tupperbox. You often see those bots in (tabletop) roleplaying discords, and larger trans discords.

Edit: I have no idea what CORE or "wintergarden" are.
CORE: I got a "your connection is not safe" warning on this webpage. Might be worth looking into because I'm not touching that shit.
No clue about wintergarden.

Am I just missing a general hypnosis thread?
There actually isn't one.

background music: The Age of Consent by a sturdy anon (you should be able to inline audio files directly):

Sturdychan.help isn't just gooner website, it's a place for people who obsess about mostly underage cosplayers, talk about them and groom them.

Originally it started out on /wsg/ and was called /ttg/, tiktok general, which sounds innocently enough. But 4chan jannies eventually started banning the thread because they didn't want to host a community talking about primarily underages tiktok cosplayers. In turn 2chen became the home of /ttg/ and later sturdychan.net, where /tv/ the tiktok board is the only active one.

It's a community of people who follow teenage cosplay girls on tiktok. They run scripts to backup every video, they purchase more revealing pictures and videos from those girls, and they delight whenever those girls join their chan and interact with them.

Their rules ban anyting illegal, unlike most hebephile pedophile communities they only discuss teenagers, not 8 year olds.

123.png

They keep track on the girls who visited the website with images like this:

uj5onm.png

I will talk about one to explain how sturdy operates.

Canthinky is an Australian girl, who is currently 17 years old, but has been interacting with sturdychan regularly for over a year.

She gained a following on Tiktok posting cosplay videos and being racist on her alt account chudfu, which was eventually banned.

Here is some sneed about her being a nazi:

And a video of her denying the allegations:

This is also the reason why two school shooters featured her on their social media. The Antioch Highschool shooter on his WatchPeopleDie profile, the other one I'm too lazy too look for.

Girls mostly voice post on sturdy so others know it's really them.

These messages aren't really interesting, just to understand how the site operates.

People will offer girls like her considerable amounts of money to sell more revealing pictures or videos, if not outright CP. Canthinky sold content through throne.com, a wishlist website. Other common methods to pay girls are ko-fi (which doesn't really check if you're minor), gift cards or paypal. Users discuss how to hide their real names on paypal.

Canthinky got a considerable amount of gifts, keep in mind these are only the top three gifters among others.

12.png

But nowadays she's warning other girls not to sell pictures.

72418c9c82456b0d09ef210a00a2aeeb9a76f4a8.jpg

She's the most talked about girl on sturdychan, but there are many girls who either sell through dms, or sell sets of images or videos that show more skin than what they put on public social media.

Sure. The screenshots you've provided are just them talking about how they're evil sex wizards.
Made the edit while you were typing.

They definitely do see themselves that way once they drop the materialism. That's not the attitude they come to the practices with initially, though; at least that's the impression that I get. It was the same with the pony tulpa guys back in the day.

Of course, if we're at the point of agreeing that they understand themselves to be evil sex wizards, that's good enough for now.
There is substantial empirical evidence linking thought processes to brain activity (e.g., fMRI studies, effects of brain damage on cognition).
I'm aware. That doesn't imply that the mind is reducible to the brain.

Also, you're asserting this claim without evidence. The burden of proof should be on those claiming thoughts come from outside the head, not the other way around.
Not in this instance, no: I wasn't making that positive claim. I was critiquing the positive assertion that thoughts must only come from within your own mind. Materialists have to justify that arbitrary limitation, just as much as I would if I were to positively say that thoughts can come from outside the brain. I do know that to be the case, but I wasn't making that claim there—I was just noting that materialism has no epistemic foundation.

Materialism is not in an epistemically privileged position. You have to justify your worldview just like I do.

This is a straw man of materialism. Materialism doesn't require the brain to be "essentially a computer" with neurons as simple logic gates. The brain-as-computer analogy is just that—an analogy or model, not a complete description. Neuroscience recognizes the brain as a vastly more complex system than digital computers, with massively parallel processing, biochemical processes beyond on/off states, and self-modifying architecture.
That's missing the point. It doesnt matter if they behave literally exactly like logic gates; the point is that neurons are material components that move impulses and chemicals around. That's why the brain-as-all-the-mind-is falls to the Chinese Room Problem; it becomes a symbol manipulation machine, no matter how much more advanced than modern computers.

This is a mathematical limitation on computation, not evidence of supernatural powers. Humans cannot solve the halting problem either. We just have intuitive approaches that work in many cases.
Intuition  is a supernatural power; that's the point. Computers don't have it—at all. A computer will never inuitively recognize recursion before iterating into infinity. Human beings can; they know that "this statement is false" is a paradox that will continue forever; we don't get stuck. Computers do, because they don't intuit.

This is a philosophical thought experiment about qualia and knowledge, not a proven limitation of materialism. Many philosophers have provided materialist responses.
Again, this is a thought experiment with many materialist counter-arguments. It doesn't definitively prove anything about consciousness.
Just saying that materialist philosophers claim to have a solution isn't an argument.

This is an enormous logical leap that doesn't follow from the premises. Even if materialism had problems, that wouldn't automatically validate supernatural explanations.
Your worldview defines "supernatural" as "phenomena not in line with materialism". If materialism is false, then "supernaturalism" is by definition true.

I'm going to link a paper that you'll really like.

This is what I love about the Farms, you go into a thread about a bunch of weirdos with masturbation and porn addictions, expecting to just laugh at them. What you get is uncovering how content created ironically and for shock value in turn indoctrinates the next gen that comes across it into it then becoming unironic, how the little hats in the porn industry force trends, and how Discord groups are accidentally or on purpose satanic occultists. Truly spectacular.

Materialism is not in an epistemically privileged position. You have to justify your worldview just like I do.

The correlation between brain states and mental states is overwhelming. Given this evidence, the extraordinary claim is that thoughts originate from outside the brain, which requires extraordinary evidence that you haven't provided.

Additionally, no materialist claims thoughts "must only come from within your own mind." This is a straw man. Materialists readily acknowledge that thoughts are influenced by external stimuli processed through sensory systems.

You misapply Searle's thought experiment. The Chinese Room was designed to challenge computational theories of mind, not materialism broadly. Many materialist frameworks (non-reductive physicalism, emergentism, embodied cognition) aren't vulnerable to this criticism. Furthermore, you're ignoring the systems reply—that understanding emerges at the system level rather than in individual components.

A computer will never inuitively recognize recursion before iterating into infinity. Human beings can; they know that "this statement is false" is a paradox that will continue forever; we don't get stuck. Computers do, because they don't intuit.

Modern computing systems routinely implement safeguards against infinite loops. Meanwhile, humans are demonstrably subject to the same computational limitations as machines (as proven by cognitive science research on decision-making and problem-solving limitations).

Your worldview defines "supernatural" as "phenomena not in line with materialism". If materialism is false, then "supernaturalism" is by definition true.

Materialists generally define supernatural phenomena as those outside the domain of natural laws, not simply "phenomena not in line with materialism." Also, the claim "if materialism is false, then supernaturalism is by definition true" presents a false dichotomy. There are numerous non-materialist philosophical positions that remain naturalistic (idealism, neutral monism, property dualism, etc.).

Edit: In retrospect I did not word this as well as I should have and as a result this post is kind of schizobabble as @The Spoils of War points out. I have amended it so it is no longer garbage:

When a calculator comes across 1 divided by 0, it spits out "NaN" because that situation was anticipated by the designer and a safeguard was implemented to halt the computer to continue smooth operation. When an LLM encounters 1 divided by 0 it doesn't actually parse it like a calculator does, instead of directly crunching the numbers with bits like a calculator would, it instead crunches different numbers to determine the probability of the next best word to print out, which results in "you can't divide by 0 because blah blah blah". It may also interact with a separate calculator system to receive the answer, but then you are just back to square 1. Same thing happens when you encounter 1 divided by 0. You don't crunch the numbers with bits like a computer, you intuit the results based on what you know and have experience with. 2 + 2 = 4, but to an inexperienced toddler (or a very, very bad LLM) it might be 5. Your brain is not a computer. It has limitations, yes, but so does anything else that exists in this deterministic physical reality. Really, the limitations of computation you cite are just the practical limitations of state machines. Simplified, neural networks are computer simulations of very simple, very specialized brains.

Anyways, this is whole post really is for both of you (@California Newt). Obviously the brain is a material object. The neurons are material, bound by determinism. Truthfully, I don't really know if qualia has any effect on the brain. If your actions are effectively destined just the the nature of determistic physics, or if part of being human is being truly novel- as in having some kind of spark, no matter how small that enables one to come up with something outside of the box. Example being the very discussion of post-existential concepts that by their nature have 0 basis in the actual physical world, because they explicitly only concern ideas outside of the scope of reality. There isn't really any debate that your problem solving, thought processes, train of thought, etc are all influenced by the external stimuli, natural sequences of events and the chemical processes in your brain. That's what I mean by not knowing if qualia actually affects anything. We may all very well be effectively 'watching' deterministic videos which are playing out in real time. The sense of control you have isn't an illusion so much as it is the brain you are 'watching's sense of control over itself, the deterministic nature not at all being antithetical to free will because your choices are always your choices, and the future has yet to actually happen. The issue that I was calling out by pointing out that your thoughts need somewhere to be imprinted (your brain) in the interim between conceptualization and action is my revoking to the argument that thought either must originate from some higher place in order for qualia to exist, or (at least what I perceived, which now as I read back over things I don't actually think this was what you were saying lmao I have no idea what the fuck I was going on about last night, sorry) as your stance, that qualia must be entirely bound to the brain and therefore an emergent property of it.

My point ultimately is as follows: "Brain required for thought = brain required for qualia" is a fallacy. Thought, the continuity of ideas, context, perception, memory, etc are all necessary only to navigate and function in this physical world proficiently. One may assume that your brain is inalienable to your existence as a whole, that without it you cease entirely, qualia and all. While that may be true in terms of your personality, emotion, memory, and everything else imperative to your human experience, these are also only useful in the context of the world in which they exist. Qualia is conceptually a prerequisite for existence to begin with. There is no way to tell if others have qualia like you do, therefore the only thing you can actually be sure of is that you and you alone have it. With that certainty out of the way, you can now begin to perceive the whole of existence itself. No qualia -> no existence. "But others exist without my perception" that is a presupposition based on learned experience gathered by your brain. There is no precedent for any of these concepts to be one way or another because they are once again explicitly concerning ideas outside of the scope of reality. By this point, any interpretation is as likely or valid as the other because the end result is exactly the same. Are we all conscious? Or is there only one consciousness being shared between everyone in parallel realities where everything plays out the exact same except this time the qualia is observing someone else? Same difference. No way to tell. No reason to worry.

As for Newt's ideas of occultism and religious fascination being a point of titillations for these gooner types. I don't believe in demons, in heaven or hell. In any presupposed afterlife really. But I do appreciate that beyond just the fetishism some of these lunatics believe in this stuff as much as he does and that's important in approaching how you perceive what they're saying. Sorry for calling you a weirdo earlier lol:feels:

These kinds of philosophical revelations in my personal life helped me to inspire some very good positive change in myself over the past years. I hope others can draw inspiration from it.
...No heaven or hell? I mean, there is no morality without the underlying concepts of death, happiness, prosperity, struggle, trauma, and humanity that makes morality what it is in this world. Therefore when you die and shed all that humanity, emotion, personality, memory and experience, good and bad afterflives become conceptually silly.

In fact, all proposed afterlives really are conceptually silly because they presuppose things like the laws of physics, of time and other such existential and natural laws as applying post-existentially. Think about this. This entire world is arbitrary, the rules are here, they are self justifying, and they are unbreakable. We can define and observe them, and their mechanics and properties. But at the most bottom line, they simply exist. But it's not some perfect destined design that is the only reality that could be. It can't be because there are literally infinite alternative concepts, laws of nature or physics that you could conceptualize and design to apply to a hypothetical alternate existence. When thinking outside of the bounds of the physical world, you aren't working with determinism, physical rules and principles, or even time at that point. The previous limitation of every possible combination of every possible particle in every possible location at every possible time that prevents infinity from actually existing in this world is blown out of the water. The fact that this world and all of its specific and arbitrary facets exist implies that really, any reality consisting of any number of arbitrary mechanics, familiar to this one, or comparatively totally bizarre or absurd can exist in the same vein. For example, there could be 4 spatial dimensions. Or 5. The math as it is, works out. But there are only 3. Depth, width and height. It gets to the point where I anticipate that any possible concept or idea you can imagine, as well as those you never will, do exist. If it seems 'too good to be true' that's your brain's reward system poisoning the well. A lot of these supposed realities would not even approach anything resembling real life. Nor would your perception or involvement in them involve anything like a human body or brain. You might question what the point of exercising this experience without the kind of emotion or human sense of exploration of curiosity would be, but the simple fact of the matter is that something does exist, and the arbitrary nature of that first something implies that other, similarly arbitrarily different somethings could exist in the same way. There is no way to know, and since there are so many possible interpretations all with the exact same final result, whose to say they aren't all simultaneously correct? It's certainly the easiest solution.
What's that? This is the thread about porn addiction?

When a computer comes across 1 divided by 0, it spits out "NaN" because it was programmed specifically to recognize the equation and has a safeguard in place. When an LLM AI encounters 1 divided by 0 it doesn't actually parse it like a calculator does, instead of directly crunching numbers it intuits that the probability of the next best word to print out, which results in "you can't divide by 0 because blah blah blah". Or it interacts with a calculator to do the equation and then that reports back to the LLM- but that's cheating.

Modern programs use systematic exception handling, not special-case recognition. More importantly, LLMs don't intuit probabilities in a non-computational way. They perform precise mathematical operations on vectors.

Your brain is not a computer, stop with that gay shit.

Brains aren't digital computers, but they are information-processing systems.

What's to stop one from pointing out that thought being recorded and imprinted onto your brain is a necessary step to being able to act on said thoughts when time is a factor? Things don't advance in 'turns', where each step is one phase of reality that translates to the next (not in any meaningful scale), it's fluid, and there needs to be something that thought is stored on in the meantime.

This is incoherent. You're suggesting a dualist position where thoughts exist separately from the brain but must be "stored" there, without explaining where these thoughts originate if not from brain processes.

That's not to say your brain isn't necessary for thought- rather that thought as you think of it- continuous flow of thought isn't actually necessary to continue existence when time isn't a factor. One imagines it as death being a block on the road and then from that point onward, gone. But the problem is that road is time and time is a novel concept that applies specifically to the physical world and its phenomena. No time, no roadblock, no halting of one's existence. You exist and have qualia, everyone else might, they might not, it's the same difference.

You're making sweeping metaphysical assertions about time, death, and existence. Your claim that "time is a novel concept that applies specifically to the physical world" is presented as fact without justification, the conclusion about existence beyond physical time is not logically connected to the preceding arguments, and the final statement about qualia and others' consciousness introduces additional concepts without integration into a coherent argument.

CORE: I got a "your connection is not safe" warning on this webpage. Might be worth looking into because I'm not touching that shit.
No clue about wintergarden.
I made a slightly different search and found https://core-wintermute.network/ (also, there's already an existing archive—https://archive.is/TKgrJ):

There's a lot here. Looks like it's "Wintermute", not "wintergarden".

This seems to be largely a "dronification" thing; basically, it's a fetish for being assimilated into a borg cube—or, perhaps more accurately, into an H.R. Giger painting.

The Borg actually derive from the artwork of H.R. Giger, which is on-record: (https://archive.is/lfAFg)

relevant excerpt:
As for the design of the Borg drones and their technology, this was largely inspired by the designs of artist H. R. Giger, who created the xenomorph in Alien. . .
While the look of the Borg is not quite as visceral as the various forms of the xenomorph, the combination of organic and mechanical elements remains disturbing. In much of H.R. Giger's work, it's hard to tell where the organic ends and the mechanical begins. From the adult Borg drones to the baby Borg discovered by Commander William Riker (Jonathan Frakes) in "Q Who," there is something inherently horrifying about parts of the humanoid body being replaced by mechanical parts. This concept is later more fully realized when the Borg assimilate Captain Picard as their mouthpiece, Locutus.

E621 actually has a pretty useful article on this on their Wiki (nsfw, obviously; archive—https://archive.is/ag3lO):

oh it's just fucking hexcorp again ok
i know that people joke about hexcorp being a cult but this is a legitimate dronekink cult
Would you care to elaborate? Why do people joke about hexcorp being a cult? How do they behave, and where do they turn up?

Also, do you mean that hexcorp is a cult, or CORE is (or both)?

Also here's an old archive for that link: https://archive.is/5Y1Xt

Also, do you mean that hexcorp is a cult, or CORE is (or both)?
CORE is an actual cult, people joke about Hexcorp being one because of hex-associated drones on twitter being weird about it.

I no longer frequent the circles that are tangentially related to this, so I don't know much and am basing this off of the empty spaces dictionary (here's a list of everything in a txt file) because i'm schizophrenic enough to know what it means

The impression that I get is that there are three "layers" of porn involved in the gooning world (format-wise, rather than subject-matter-wise):
  1. images, stories, and videos—what most people up until recently have been familiar with.
  2. PMVs/HMVs—rapid-fire, dopamine-maxxed, quick-cut music videos splicing tons of clips together (these days with phonk and house music, mostly).
  3. Hypno.
You may have a ton of porn addicts hooked on the first two, but in my opinion you don't really have a "gooning" subculture without the third—any groups that call themselves "gooners", but don't involve hypno, seem to be dependent upon or derivative of those that do.

The whole ethos behind gooning seems to involve trying to transcend the human biological limitations on sexuality; they think of it as something that you can only experience—or "make contact" with—in isolated flashes due to how the body works (especially the male body), and they want to extend that experience or make it permanent. They use a bunch of techniques (and usually drugs, it seems) to do this, but it doesn't matter if the goonsesh lasts five minutes or ten days—eventually it ends.

It makes sense that re-programming the mind and personality itself would be the logical next step: instead of the "porn god/goddess" being something you can only briefly make contact with through the physiologically limited machinery of your sexual anatomy, it makes more sense to just install it as a "tulpa" (or similar method) directly into your body, either co-operating with or over-writing your personality.

1740818225674.png

A pleasant skink for an unpleasant discussion.

@Outer Space Traveller asked a really good question, which is essentially, "where does this stuff come from?"

My half-educated guess is that it's a combination of organic activity meeting top-down structures, kind of like a corporate buyout—but where exactly do the two meet? Are people organically coming up with hypno communities and linking up with shadier structures up-the-chain, or are they starting out as groups of hypno-less perverts and getting introduced to hypno from farther up?

More concisely—where did tulpa.info come from? Where are these people learning about hypnosis; are they learning about it independently, or are they in a sort of loose "tradition"?

If we want to know what kind of animal we're dealing with, it seems like we need to know the history of these psychological/occult techniques, and where perverts are getting introduced to them.

Edit: @Tari if you have any insight on this question, your input would be appreciated.

One of my lifelong best friends is an unrepentant coomer and a while back he suffered some kind of nerve damage from jackhammering his taint with a theragun and a few days ago he told our small group chat that he shot blood out of his dick and has to get his dick sounded with a camera scope. He said it has been a blessing in disguise because he no longer sits around gooning for hours every day.

I don't really know what to say about it but I feel like I have to talk about it somewhere.
