Developer Pocketpair announced on X that Palworld has officially exceeded 500,000 concurrent players on Steam, celebrating the game’s strong return following its exit from Early Access.
In its message, the studio wrote:
“Celebration! Palworld has surpassed 500,000 concurrent players on Steam!
It’s been two and a half years since Early Access began. We’re truly happy that so many people are enjoying Palworld now that it has officially launched.
To everyone who has supported us from the beginning, and to everyone who has newly joined us—thank you so much.”

The milestone comes roughly two and a half years after Palworld first entered Early Access, with the game’s full release drawing a large influx of both returning players and newcomers.
Palworld became one of the biggest breakout hits in Steam history when it launched in Early Access in January 2024, selling millions of copies within days and reaching a peak of over 2.1 million concurrent players on Steam. Since then, Pocketpair has continued expanding the game with new Pals, islands, mechanics, multiplayer features, and numerous quality-of-life improvements while preparing for Version 1.0.
Despite ongoing patent litigation filed by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company in Japan, development has continued uninterrupted, with Pocketpair regularly releasing major updates and new content.
The latest milestone suggests there is still significant interest in the monster-catching survival game as it begins its post-Early Access life.

It’s a shame that people are supporting this just to get back at Nintendo, since it uses “body type” propaganda in the character creation.
well besides that its a bad ark clone rip off. I played it when it first came out but once the novelty of ‘Pokemon with guns” wears off. You realize how bland the pals fighting mechanics are and how limited building is everything really. I think even ark is still more mechanically better. I don’t how much what this update added but going by when i first played, its not worth spending anytime on it (everything takes forever to do). Its just another hype game honestly tricking people with its “Pokemon like aesthetics”.
