45 reports received in past year of Israelis affected by antisemitism abroad
Over the past year (from July 2025 to July 2026), 45 reports were received of Israelis affected by antisemitic incidents abroad, requiring accompaniment and treatment from the Foreign Ministry's department for Israelis in distress. This is new data that, according to Foreign Ministry sources, barely appeared in previous years and reflects the change in reality that Israelis around the world have faced since the outbreak of the war. These include assaults, altercations, spitting, insults, refusal to provide service, ejections from hotels, ejections from cafes and restaurants, people who feel threatened and more. Deputy Director General for Consular Affairs at the Foreign Ministry, Eli Yifrach, said that 'in the past year we are seeing a phenomenon we have not known before on such a scale.'
