Soylent is the best I have ever had among protein and meal replacement drinks. I favor the plant-based ingredients. The flavors are smooth and taste really good. I have tried so, so, so many brands. Some are OK. some are awful. Soylent is in a class of its own. I use the powder to mix up a glass in the morning. I also tend to regularly buy a case of the bottles so I have them to grab for long drives, or when I'm stuck at work without food. I eat primarily vegan, so this fits really perfectly into my diet. I have had a life-long struggle to eat breakfast. I do not like most of the foods typically eaten at that time. I used these to ensure I eat at all in the beginning of the day. I have come to depend on them as a basic part of my diet.
When I have a picky eater for a son who also happens to be a growing boy on the swim team, I need something to give him in the morning that he can have on the way to school. This is one of the only things he'll eat, especially in the morning. One swim meet he took it with him but didn't drink it and his first race was terrible. He drank it before his next race and during that one he dropped 5 seconds off his best time. Oh, and it's also a great breakfast drink for me as well!
