About this tool
Domain age is calculated from the registration date stored in RDAP (Registration Data Access Protocol) - the modern replacement for WHOIS. The registration date reflects when the domain was first registered, not when it was last renewed. Data is cached for 1 hour. Some domain registries (particularly country-code TLDs) may restrict access to registration dates.
The expiry date shown is the current registration period end. Domains are typically renewed before expiry and do not necessarily become available at that date - many registrars provide grace and redemption periods afterwards.
