It's a shame, really - the front page of 195 quickly became my favorite meme sub, hopefully this sub gets enough moderation to repeat that without any of the bigotry. Also hope the guy doesn't get much hate

I agree with the rest of your message, but "bigotry kek" really puts you in a bad light here.

I feel bad for him. I hate that people are being mean to him :(

The weirdest thing to me is that starting subs is free and if you're an admin of a sub you can do whatever the fuck you want with it. Why do users somehow feel entitled to subreddits is beyond me, just fucking start your own or whatever

28

This should be pinned to let others know what happened to the original subreddit

22

it would be nice if he let some other people take over r/195 in his place to keep the sub alive

19

Tbh i never understood what the staff meant as homophobic, racist, etc stuff. Did they mean those "repost if homophobic"-like memes or actually discriminatory posts?

7

Apparently it was legit depraved stuff (i.e. posts advocating for genocide and shit)

30

Oh, i understand

4

“Repost if homophobic”-like memes are fucking lazy and just lead to a thread full of actual hateful shit.

7

So..... just hire more mods then lol

4

Yeah i actually have no idea why they didnt do this

not everyone is trustworthy, but then again you can make them have a limited amount of permissions so they can’t cause what happened to r/inceltears

if you don’t know what happened with r/inceltears go to r/inceltear - menu - what happened to IT? and you should find more info there

4

probably didn’t want it to turn into a big subreddit where they would need to worry about hiring mods and managing them, etc. Like he said, it used to just be a sub for him and his friends.

this should be pinned or at least added to the wiki

Yeah, that's what I figured. I don't blame them.
