When did the "activist" game developer mindset start?
Most strange phenomena can be pinned down to a single date or title, such as the first game to feature a turrent section, or the first game to feature quick-time events (I'm glad those two features are gone). So, what was the first game where the developers had a "activist" mindset, where they didn't care about their customers at all and actively fought against them brazenly. When did this terrible, narcissistic mindset start, and what's the first game to be plagued by it?

I can pinpoint such a mindset with movies, with Ghostbusters 2016. That was the first movie I saw where the director, the actors, and even the studio funding it actively went against the customers and fought against them so openly. It was pretty weird, which made it satisfying when the movie flopped and it sequel was cancelled.

But what about games? What was the first game to be plagued with the "activist" mindset that ruined it?

As we can see it doesn't take long for the anti-woke to show what kinda of people they really are and what issues they really have.

Hence why when anyone complain about 'woke' you know the type of person you're dealing with.

The fact that you have to resort to ad hominem fallacies instead of discussing the facts says just as much about you.

"Rules for thee, not for me" mentality...

Upon farther research, French version isn't sold in North America anyways. According to lgbt websites that clearly Leon went on which it can be dismissed as irrelevant.

American version of FF 1,2,6,7,8,9,10-10-2,12,15 and 16 which I owned all the originals. None of them has any lgbt theme.

They didn't start putting this garbage in, until I think FF13, if I do remember correctly...

EDIT: And convenient, a sequel with the NUMBER 13 in it...
Quina in FF9 was neither a man or woman. A genderless species. Nonbinary. I don't know if that counts as LGBT stuff though.

Also, I do remember x-play making fun of Final Fantasy games a lot for being kind of ♥♥♥♥-erotic back in the day (yes, they did it more than once). So it is a bit funny to see FF games brought up as conventional when they weren't really seen that way by everyone even back then.
Before woke became a cult some people made for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, there was equal amounts of what both BS sides consider to be "their stuff" to be found in games. In videogames there were crotch-melting girls wearing incredible things, and cross-dressers, gay people, non-binaries, weirdos of all kinds, alongside He-men and other generic badasses, sometimes all in the same game.

But that was before somebody made woke and DEI cults for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

It was never a lgbt. The publisher of that game has acknowledged it. According to well known lgbt websites, there were a misunderstanding that the character were part of lgbt. In which later revised that the character has nothing to do with lgbt.

I wouldn't put any stock in anyone that trying to tying characters of the game to lgbt supporters. That character in particular is an elf, not human species. Therefore doesn't behave like humans do. I thought this has been long understood many years ago.
In my understandings. In most translations for 9, they end up using both male and female pronouns for Quina. I'm just saying Quina the closest character to anything approximating LGBT content.

I don't consider someone or something being genderless to be LGBT myself. Like pokemon having genderless pokemon that can breed with both genders. But some people are convinced these days that not strictly adhering to the gender binary they worship is woke or LGBT. I'm not sure. I just know they usually hate it.

Unless I am misremembering, cloud cross dresses, and he can go on a date with Barret.

Then again, why are you trying to relate that character to lgbt, when it is obvious and clear it has nothing to do with lgbt. Please stop this nonsense. Cloud cross dresses in a game as a funny part of the game, nothing serious to be taken with that, lol.... It is humor, nothing more. Cloud actually in love with Tifa whom died later in the game.

According to FF7: He and Aerith can infiltrate Don Corneo’s mansion in Wall Market and rescue Tifa.
I'm guessing that was a typo and you meant Aerith? Tifa obviously never dies. Not in any of the spin offs either from what I remember.

Woke has been in use since the 1930s or earlier to refer to awareness of racial prejudice and discrimination faced by African-Americans, often as "stay woke".

Oh, I've heard this before from some Wokeness enthusiasts. Must be some popular content creator disseminating this talking point.

Really though, it's just one of those things that gets appropriated by the "Woke" to lend some dignity of actual high stakes to their fashionable affectations. Can you in fact imagine anyone unaware of racial discrimination against African-Americans "in the 1930s or earlier"? Wasn't exactly a well-kept secret, no matter how one felt about it. In light of those circumstances, "stay woke" is more of a general reminder to keep vigilant, never let your guard down around whitey etc. What current activisting amounts to is cosplay in comparison.

Which reminds me of some article about school kids a while back, might have been middle school. The salient thing was that well over half of those kids (can't remember exact %, but it was high) stated that their preferred future career option was "activist". Seems no other pursuit is considered worth striving for these days. Everything else, especially excellence in [Insert Occupation], is discredited as an -ism of some kind. That's a real tragedy.

THIS!

There was many of this already being done and no one was the wiser. It only took people to make it into a DIVIDE AND CONQUER PSYOP is when this ♥♥♥♥ started getting pushed into every venue and industry.

There are even LGB that are SICK of this ♥♥♥♥ being pushed, the ORIGINAL ones even as far back as the 60s, during woodstock. They are sick of it too. It's mostly this MODERN DAY VERSION, ie the LGBTQIA+ LUNACY, is what is destroying everything. Even Modern Day Feminism/Mysogynism.

And trust me, they will be joining on the side of GOOD when it comes time. Only the NORMIES are the ones that continue to be indoctrinated by all of this psyoptic lunacy.

Common Sense has been LOST in a LOT of people around the globe....

Cloud literally cross dresses for a quest and in obtaining one of the articles of clothing, bathes with a bunch of buff men in various states of undress.

After climbing out of the bath, one of which urges Cloud to get back into the bath citing "daddy's lonely".

It's okay to intentionally block those scenes out of your head, it's not okay to lie they never happened. Lol

I can tell you right away. IT'S ALWAYS BEEN A THING.

The early kit computers from the 1970s had quite a few silly games from plenty of bedroom coders that turned out non-games as a joke, or had certain attitudes.

It sounds like you're American, and have been brainwashed by idiot right wing media. You think that there's some woke bogeyman or something and that it's a new thing.

Nope, you're probably confusing things like empathy or tought with woke and likely don't understand how the rest of the world works.

SO sorry if this bursts your bubble and all that, but it's ALWAYS been a thing, from games like the aforementioned ones on kit computers, to games like Sqij on the ZX Spectrum where the dev did it as a ♥♥♥♥ you to their employer. It's always been a thing.

There is nothing new under the sun, but propagandists will certainly try and tell you otherwise.
Nah. There is a difference between making a game or piece of media to tell your story, and making mandates that force other people to change their stories to suite you instead. A world of difference.

Cool, prove it.

Demonstrate where my examples are not that.

"prove me wrong"

You know that is a logical fallacy, right? You made the claim. The burden is on you to prove it, not on me to prove you wrong.

I think the argument they are making is pretty simple. You could never prove intent, which is the key to determining activism or normal art. You said there is a difference. Well, you can never actually know the difference. Was Bioshock activism against liberartians like Ayn Rand? Or was it just art that wanted to tell a story that just so happened to critique Ayn Rand's way of thinking? It's literally unknowable in most instances.

And often I see you projecting your own beliefs onto others and doing your own counter activism to what you think is other people doing activism. So from my perspective. The word is pretty useless. You are an activist who unironically thinks you aren't one and who thinks the word only applies to those who aren't you.
