Jesus Christ is the One true and Living God, He was not a man who attained God-status, He was God who became man and died on the cross for our sins. That is what the earliest followers of Jesus believed (Apostles included) and if we believe in the true Jesus and accept Him as our Lord and Savior we could have Eternal Life in Heaven.
