So I live on campus during the week but Friday-Sunday I am usually home so I can work. On Friday I need to come to campus for a few hours to help with a project, and I am curious what the best option is for parking if you don't have a pass for the garage, etc?
I know there is a little metered lot near the library but the limit seems to be 2 hours? Not sure how enforced it is? I know there is also the nearby park and such but I am not sure how iffy that is in terms of tickets, towing, etc. Any suggestions?
I am really not feeling good overall about my current standings.
I am in my 2nd semester, and I entered as a computer science major. I have quickly come to learn over the past couple months that computer science is not for me and I already met with advisors and the enrollment offices, and have switched to undeclared. I am planning to switch to the Digital Media major later this year.
Due already meeting math requirements for my now planned path, I dropped Calc IB because I was struggling so hard and just cant get anything. Dropping it wasnt a worry cause it is not affecting my aid nor my timeline for graduating.
I thought I would at least be able to survive Computing II, but I am sadly feeling the same way. I bombed the first exam and am now failing. I have gotten tutored and gotten constant help from many friends, and I can barely write code for my programs. I basically have to get anything spoonfed to me. For the second time in a row, I am probably just going to submit an incomplete program tonight that will get a bad grade. It's looking very unlikely that I will pass it at this point, and I am giving up to be honest.
My big worry is what will happen if I can't survive this class too? I'm scared to even share that with family or others. What about my aid? my GPA? I am so frustrated, confused and scared. I need some guidance.
Hey there! I have been dealing with the works of psoriasis for over a decade now. With quarantine happening, I definitely let myself go a bit, and I want this year to better myself as much as I can. A huge step towards that for me, is continuing to try to lose more weight. A huge part of that is diet, and I was recently thinking of what would work best for me. I have had a bunch of flare ups in different places off and on over the past few months, and I'm wondering if what I am eating is contributing a bunch to that.
I obviously don't expect some miracle diet, but I am curious what works best for others in terms of minimizing symptoms. I have seen that most people suggest limiting dairy and gluten, but I wanted to ask myself since I have seen so many scattered suggestions.
I have thought about possibly trying a gluten-free diet. I wonder if gluten is what triggers me, and could be plausible since my mother has celiac disease.
Thank you for reading this at all, and thank you for any possible suggestions.
With all of my classes now being fully virtual, my family and I have been debating if it's even worth going on campus at all. What are the pros and cons? I don't see of the point of going to campus this semester, and even year if things don't change. In my opinion it seems like a waste. I know you can still meet with people on the campus, but without going to the classes, I don't think it'll be the same. Thoughts?
So in the past two years I have owned two different fitbits, and overtime they both gave me major irritation and rashes on my arm. One time it got so bad that it looked like it was bloody.
With getting really serious about weight loss recently, already lost 7 pounds this past month, I am curious if anyone else on this sub has personally had skin issues with fitbits and if anyone has a good alternative fitness tracker? I love the fitbit and all it comes with, but I'm not willing to make my arm hurt in order to do it.
Last week: 193.6 This week: 193.2
Im kinda shocked that I still lost a slight bit of weight because I honestly wasn't the best over the weekend. It goes to show I've been doing enough to manage my intake I guess. For the second half of this week I am going to really try to be good. I'm hoping to loose at least a pound by next weigh in.
Haha. I agree it can be very strange. I mainly went to meet with a friend I've known for a year or so now. Also I will agree the prices are completely ridiculous for the most part. The booth by Sudden Impact I really liked though. They are actually very local and are in Winthrop. I've been there and the owner is a very nice guy. With your purchase he will usually just hand you a cleaning kit and sometimes old official Nintendo Stickers from the 80's. If you're local I'd recommend at least taking a peak, It is a nice atmosphere. You're not gonna get a bargain there, but usually its around ebay prices. Usually the popular games are overpriced. I'd pay more attention to more obscure games there.
To be honest, I got really demotivated and started heavily snacking and over eating a ton the past few weeks and gained a little but of weight. At the start of this past week, I made a promise with a friend that I would completely limit how much extra I ate and if I had to have a little snack it had to be something good!
I stepped on the scale and I was shocked to see this past week I've went from 201 to 198 lbs! After seeing that result I am very motivated and now am serious and want to keep going. My goal is 170.
I just felt like sharing this cause I am really excited and didn't expect it!!
