She is a playable character in Monster Camp as an alternate yellow-colored playable character via her purchasable DLC. She appears as a minor NPC, a HITCHHIKER, and as an alternate playable character via her purchasable DLC in Monster Roadtrip. Additionally, she is also a returning love interest in Monster Con. Not only that, she will also be the Yellow playable character in Monster Prom: REVERSE.

Zoe (né Z'Gord, Ruler of the Dark Realms), is an ancient being who appears in a few secret endings of Monster Prom with her old identity. After she is released, she can either cause mayhem, or, after being introduced to the wonders of high school, decide to become a high school girl.

Appearance

Zoe appears as a cephalopod-like monster with purple skin. The top of her head has a writhing mass of tendrils alike hair and a large green eye in it. Her face has two wide holes of cosmic void that pass as fake eyes. She also has another green eye above her chest and a mouth on her left leg while her right arm is a tentacle.

Outfit

Her outfit consist of a yellow hoodie jacket with a little face on it, black tight shorts that reach the knees and expose her leg mouth and eye and black sneakers.

For Prom, she wears a yellow dress with a cream sash, multiple yellow ribbons on her hair and a corsage with a pink flower on her left wrist.

For Camp, while she's shown with her usual outfit on the bus, her endings show her wearing black overalls with a yellow shirt below.

Biography

Originally, Zoe lived for many eons believing that she was destined to bring about the destruction of the world and to tear reality asunder.

In truth, Zoe harbors a sense of isolation, for when she revealed herself from the totem, she stated that she has never received any compliments in her existence, and even the act of blushing was bizarre to her.

With time, Zoe appears to have abandoned her purpose and instead take the form of a high school girl to just live a life of entertainment.

Personality

She is incredibly curious, often asking the rest of the cast various questions, and expressing a love for doing "obsessive online research".

Zoe likes fandoms, writing fanfiction, and what she believes to be the ultimate ship, Naruto x Garfield.

She dislikes bigots, mindless cultists, and being trapped inside a totem.^[3]

• Aaravi Mishra: She seems to think that Aaravi has sexual tension with Damien and Liam. She also appears to be unaware that Aaravi may have a crush on her.
• Amira Rashid: Amira and Zoe might not have many overlapping interests, but Amira deeply appreciates the flaming passion Zoe puts into everything she loves. In that sense, they're quite alike, even if the delivery is surely different. Once in a while, it might happen the both of them share an interest; but more often than not, Amira finds Zoe's hobbies rather weird. It's not that she dislikes all this, but she has a hard time understanding the appeal! Zoe is fine with this, because as thirsty as she is, she finds Amira very hot and values the quirky appeal of a rarepair!^[4]

• Brian Yu: Brian and Zoe share some geeky interests, such as comics and videogames. Even if they don't necessarily like the same genres, they find joy in these shared hobbies, and they're both always open to listen to the other and and learn to be surprised. Brian sometimes likes to create content based on his favorite fandoms, even if for him it's just a silly hobby that he doesn't love to share. On the other hand, Zoe has the intention of somehow turning her love for fandoms into a career. Zoe's cheerful demeanor and high energy sometimes manage to encourage Brian to showing her his little creations.^[5]
• Calculester Hewlett-Packard: Zoe and Calculester have a nice friendship. both share their dream of becoming a regular youngster at Spooky High. Calculester is gentler in his journey of exploring life while Zoe is definitely more intense. Calculester came into existence pretty recently (via an arcane floppy disk with a magic virus that gave life to a library computer), while Zoe predates the concept of time (being a deity of the dark realms prior to becoming Zoe). Even if they have strongly different approaches, they share the same craving for exploring life and understanding their new existences, and because of that, they respect each other and find comfort in their shared experiences.^[6]
• Damien LaVey: Zoe and Damien actually share many interests, since Damien is super into videogames and other geeky stuff. Also, Damien is the fan favorite and Zoe is the ultimate fan, so there's that! Sometimes Damien can get rather annoyed and Zoe's insistence to know everything about him, but in a way, he likes the attention. On the other hand, Damien has always had trouble exploring his own truth, and so he admires Zoe profoundly for how she is unapologetically herself and the extensive explorations she has undergone to discover who she is to herself.^[7]

• Liam de Lioncourt: Zoe loves to tease Liam a bit. They're very different and similar at the same time. They both devote their lives to culture, but Liam prefers highbrow culture while Zoe is a sucker for pop culture. Liam can get annoyed by Zoe's insistence on consuming everything as a fan rather than a scholar (for example, reading a Shakespeare play while building a shipping chart and deciding which character to cosplay), but Zoe knows that deep down low culture is Liam's guilty pleasure (such as his interest in Dragon Heat). Also, they're both purple, and that has to mean something, right? RIGHT?!^[8]

• Oz: More often than not, Oz gets a bit shy and insecure of his geeky hobbies, as he thinks most people will find them silly or lame. Of course, this never happens around Zoe, who validates his love for his many fandoms. When they’re together, Oz is fueled by this validation, and he manages to feel more confident. These two engage in many nerdy activities together, and above all, they’re each other’s first choice for attending cons! Also, both of them are powerful, ancient, entities older than time, Zoe being an endless deity of despair and Oz being the physical embodiment of fear itself. DO they share their wacky and mind-tearing anecdotes of old times? Who knows!^[9]
  He's thankful to have Zoe by his side: it's much harder to notice Oz when Zoe's shrieking like a banshee at the latest Dragon Heat book. Plus, Zoe's love of fanfics is starting to rub off on him, and he's finally mustered up the courage to give us the Naruto x Garfield ship we were all waiting for!
  Also, Zoe complements Oz's shy disposition: she's the type of friend who not only invites you to her favorite con, but also introduces you to all her geeky friends that are going with her.^[10]

Both girls share a cheerful disposition towards life and a tendency to invest a lot into what they love. The main difference is Zoe's energy tends to go toward hobbies around fandoms, while Vicky's preferences are more widespread, from TV shows to electrical and mechanical engineering.   • Zoe's pop quiz answers include multiple references to Evangelion.
• Zoe's inclusion as a playable character in Monster Camp and Monster Roadtrip causes strange moments in which herself or other characters refer to Z'Gord in a third person sense as if she is not present, written with the intent that the player would be any other character. For example, in Camp, Joy will explain to the player how she traveled across multiple timelines to imprison her (referred to in 3rd person and as Z'Gord) in a totem after her initial release from a cursed tome.

    • One of her OCs is Oswald Peters: at the start he was a succesful lawyer that one day, when he was going back home, suddently stopped in front of a shop window to find a pasta machine and since money has never been a problem, he bought it, thinking that it would be cool to surprise his husband with a pasta dinner made entirely by him, resulting in an unexpected passion that made him start losing or finding himself in the pasta making, making him decide between leaving everything behind for his newfound craft or accepting that doing so would be reckless and selfish. Later on, Zoe started brainstorming potential plotlines and twists for a new story for him.^[2]
