Word on the street is that Multimorphic is hosting a group of pinball podcasters at its Texas headquarters this weekend to show off its newest game. I haven't been told exactly when the public reveal will be, but I would think that it's probably sometime next week if they're showing the game to people. We'll see. I'm still completely up in the air as to whether Multimorphic's game will be the much-talked-about Dungeon Crawler Carl or some other licensed theme.
In other Multimorphic news, the company's founder Gerry Stellenberg announced yesterday that Multimorphic is teaming up with Davey Price of Stumblor Pinball to create cool hand-crafted resin 3D sculpts to P³ games.
Next up we have news out of Stern Pinball. I was actually wondering earlier this week what was going on with this project. Yesterday, Stern's Jack Danger showed off parts of his pitch deck for his proposed "Tank Girl" pinball machine. By far, my favorite part of it is the fact that he wants to give the game Demo Man-like handles with flipper buttons. My biggest pinball regret is selling my Demo Man several years ago. That's one that I'd like to get back some day. That's the best-flowing widebody pin out there and the handles are so cool.
In addition to learning about the game's proposed Demo Man handles, learn that Tank Girl would be a 4 flipper game with 10 standup targets, get a glimpse at the proposed soundtrack, mechs and more. It's definitely interesting to get a peek behind-the-scenes at game development. I hope that we get more content like this from Stern in the future.
