Albert Square has been home to a whole host of colourful characters, from murderous villains to serial love rats and everything in between.
With EastEnders running classic episodes while the soap goes on a short hiatus, including Sharongate and Den serving Angie divorce papers, it’s time for a nostalgic look back at the best 100 characters of all time.
We’ve counted down 100 to 36 and today we reveal our top 25 Walford residents - the legendary faces who have brought us the most iconic doof doofs. But will you agree?

Viewers will get a sneak peek behind the shabby net curtains of the Square and hear revelations from cast members in EastEnders: Secrets From The Square. Stacey Dooley hosts as stars including Letitia Dean, Adam Woodyatt, Danny Dyer and Tameka Empson share their memories and tease upcoming storylines.
And, if that wasn’t a big enough doof doof, BBC1 will also replay iconic episodes, including the classic Den and Angie two-hander. As we gear up for an explosive trip through Albert Square’s past, over the next three days we count down the top 100 Enders characters of all time.
