The government formed the National Unity and Peace Restoration Central Committee, the National Unity and Peace Restoration Working Committee and the National Unity and Peace Restoration Coordination Committee in order to beef up the peace process and is striving for holding the coordination meetings with all ethnic armed organizations after opening the routes to hold the smooth and effective peace talks.

As CRPH, NUG and PDF terrorists commit terror acts in some cities and brutally kill innocent people, security forces cooperate make efforts to arrest those terrorists in cooperation with dutiful people. It was found that the terrorists arrested in some cities of Mandalay and Sagaing regions and Kachin and Chin states along with the seized arms and ammunition were related to KIA and TNLA groups.

In so doing, security forces took action against 3,751 times of terror acts in some cities from 1 February 2021 to date, arresting 1,492 terrorists and seizing 133 assorted arms, 1,693 rounds of ammunition, 28 grenades, 217 homemade mines and other explosives. Moreover, security forces  conducted  searching operations not to cause the terror acts. As such, they arrested 9,958 terrorists and seized 3,417 assorted arms, 161,500 rounds of ammunition, 647 grenades, 6,895 homemade mines and other explosives in time.

With regard to arresting of terrorists till today, six suspects were arrested in Mandalay for three times with 200 Type 81 guns, 20 Type 81 machine guns, four K2-5 guns and one M-79 grenade launcher and eight suspects in Monywa for once with one 779 PADING III-S 40mm grenade launcher. A total of 209 suspects were arrested for 17 times in Mandalay and some cities in upper Myanmar together with three M-16s, five AK-47s, 40 M-22s, 17 pistols, 61 K-22 guns, four K12 guns, four KAs, one KO-3, two KA launchers, 79 K2-5 long barrel guns, 36 K2-5 folded butts, 220 Type-81s, 20 Type-81 machine guns, 44 M-79LL 40mm grenade launchers, 12 779 PADNG III-S 40mm grenade launchers and other 549 assorted small arms.

According to the investigation, it was found that the arrestees comprised 43 persons who attended the explosive training course at KIA and 37 at TNLA. In scrutinizing the seized arms and ammunition, 220 Type-81 rifle, 79 K2-5 long barrel guns, 61 K-22 guns, 36 K2-5 folded butts, 20 Type-81 machine guns, four four K-12 guns, four KA guns, one KO-3 gun, two KA launchers and 759 grenades were manufactured by KIA group.

The Tatmadaw is precisely and respectfully following the points of Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement-NCA signed on 15 October 2015 for restoration of the perpetual peace across the world while making efforts for restoring the peace in the entire nation in accord with the policy of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services that the Tatmadaw will precisely follow the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement-NCA in striving for restoration of perpetual peace the State and the people aspire. Moreover, the State Admini-stration Council prioritizes the peace and implements the fivepoint roadmap and nine objectives. As such, during the period when the entire ethnic people are suffering the socioeconomic impacts and downheartedness, ethnic armed organizations whether they have signed the NCA or are coordinating to sign the NCA are urged to stop the acts of harming the peace and stability of the State, regional development, and life and property of the ethnic people with intention or without intention. If they further commit any acts undermining the peace and stability and socioeconomic life of the State and the people, the Tatmadaw will perform necessary security measures.
