Some folks who got laid off with fat settlements a couple of years before retirement would beg to differ. The last job i got laid off from awarded me with a severance package that amounted to about 4 weeks of pay. That's pennies when you're retiring for the rest of your life. |

I've run into a softlock on MAP04 Guess it's too late now anyway. I backed away from the lift just the right distance to land between teleporting lines. I can see in editor how it works now and can't think of a good solution. Lines being closer might reduce a chance of this happening. Or a foolproof impassable line, that would prevent things going irreversible bad, if player ends up going up the wrong lift already. DUIa_MAP04_softlock.zip (1.71 KB) |

Should've happened way earlier, 2015 at the latest. Imagine a world, where Doom (2016), Doom Eternal, The Dark Ages didn't exist, and didn't bring in so many normies. No console ports babying. The term "Boomer shooter" wouldn't exist. Just a small and niche community, with no corporate meddling.

I even included a (admittedly simple) cover of “Bullet Dam”. I’m not sure if I’ll do the same for “Paris Manson”, but that’s up to all of you. There are even (specifically in two instances), soundtrack-exclusive elements, so keep your ears out for those.

For a long time we thought WangBang demos are fundamentally broken as they never played correctly with "sw -dp". Turns out you just have to simulate network game with multiple machines / DOSBox instances in order to play them right! TENNO HEIKA BANZAI!!! Thanks a lot to Maligned for revealing this secret. Necessary steps: 1. run the necessary amount of dosbox instances 2. connect the instances to eachother with ``ipxnet startserver`` & `` ipxnet connect localhost`` 3. from all instances, run setup.exe with -dp param, e.g. ``setup -dpSPPK -level1 -monst`` 4. specify the amount of players and start the network game Additionally, I arranged this little demo player program to make otherwise tedious process be a matter of two clicks: desomorphine.ru/sw/demos/%21WangBang%20Demo%20Player.zip...and began work on WangBang Demo Archive: desomorphine.ru/sw/demos/    |

Hey look, I remembered the password to this account! Anyways, you probably saw from the updated forum title, but wepon.pk3 has now updated to v1.501!
Mostly just new weaponry, and an overhauled hitscan/projectile aiming system, and a lot of other balancing changes I don't really keep track of.
(as for the hundreth added to the version number, I finally fixed a bug where UZDoom/GZDoom would crash when loading the MENUdef lump, and I'm fairly confident it should work on Windows too)
