A 32-year-old man from Cambridge was fatally shot Saturday morning, Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Cambridge Police Commissioner Pauline Wells said.
Authorities said Xavier Bautista was shot before 4:30 a.m. near the intersection of Broadway and Norfolk Street. A pedestrian found Bautista’s body lying on the ground around 5:30 a.m. and called emergency responders, authorities said in a statement.
Bautista was declared dead at the scene, law enforcement said.
