Gracious and loving God, You shepherd Your Church with unfailing care. In this time of transition, we place our diocese into Your hands.

We pray for Bishop Miehm as he follows Your call to serve the Diocese of London as its 11th bishop. Gracious God, we thank you for the profound gift of Bishop Miehm's ministry among us, and we pray that your Holy Spirit continues to guide, strengthen, and fill him with joy.

We pray for the selection process and discernment for our new Bishop. Send Your Holy Spirit upon Pope Leo XIV, the Apostolic Nuncio, and all entrusted with the sacred task of selecting our next shepherd. Grant them wisdom, discernment, and hearts deeply attentive to Your will.
Raise up for us a bishop after Your own heart: a servant leader who walks with humility and joy; a faithful teacher who proclaims the Gospel with boldness and clarity; a compassionate listener who unites our community in love and mercy.
May our new shepherd be a voice for justice, a comfort to the wounded, and a dedicated guide for the journey ahead. Help us, Your faithful people, to remain steadfast in hope, rooted in prayer, and open to the movement of Your grace.

We ask this through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Good Shepherd, who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
