How to archive an entire subreddit posts?

i am a mod of a sub. We decided to take a backup of the entire subreddit with all of it's contents i.e 100% of posts with media, all comments and nested comments with media.

I tried searching on the internet. But I found Reddit APIs allow only 1000 posts not more than that. Our sub probably has ~5000 posts.

I need your help on this. Our sub is a research oriented sub and lot of scholars posting there. So, we need backup in case reddit shutdown like Yahoo Answers.

Help finding BBC radio 7recording
Help finding BBC radio 7recording

Hello! My co-worker and his wife we're in a fan group called zz9 and appeared in a radio interview on BBC radio 7 (now BBC 4 Extra) in 2009 for hitchcon, the 30th anniversary of hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, would anyone be able to possibly help me find it? It's his birthday soon and I would love to be able to give him the recording for it. Their names aren't mentioned but as he said to me it is mostly about how they met and came to be at the convention. It was used for a while apparently as an in-between sections type thing so I would think there would be at least one recording, im doing my own research at the moment but I would really appreciate any help!! (Especially if anyone has access to archives:3) even if anyone can just point me in the right direction I'd so appreciate that

Looking for a long-term archive sourcing partner
Looking for a long-term archive sourcing partner

I’m starting an archive store focused on authentic designer and archival pieces, and I’m looking for someone to build this with from the beginning.

Ideally, you have connections in Japan or other strong sourcing places: warehouses, rag houses, auctions, vintage markets, archive dealers, etc.

I’m not just looking for a one-time supplier. I want a loyal partner who understands archive fashion, has a real eye for pieces, and wants to grow something long-term together.

Looking for a lost 2013 Gears of War Judgment video
Does anyone remember or have a copy of this old fan montage?

• Title: “Gears of War Judgment Blow Me Away”
• Uploader: KRmalyon (or similar spelling)
• Uploaded: Thursday, March 28, 2013
• Length: 3 minutes 24 seconds
It was a gameplay/music video set to Breaking Benjamin - Blow Me Away. Removed sometime after March 2026. I’ve checked archives (Wayback, Tube Search, etc.) with no luck.
If you saved it or know a mirror/reupload, I’d really appreciate it—huge nostalgia hit for Judgment era. Thanks!

Anyone is able to help me by chance?

Is there a way to recover the media from a long deleted youtube channel? [fully lost]
Is there a way to recover the media from a long deleted youtube channel? [fully lost]

My sister and I had a very niche youtube channel when we were kids from about 2011-2016. At its height the channel had around 3000 subscribers (but really good engagement for its size) and was somewhat iconic in the very niche community of Balkan 10 year old girls at that time🤣. Unfortunately we deleted the channel about 10 years ago and didn't save the majority of the videos. Is there any way to recover the videos from the channel? I'm not very tech savvy and I tried to get it back using the Way Back Machine but had no luck because I don't have the link that used to lead to the original youtube channel. I remember the channel's name and could guess some of the video titles but that's pretty much it. I would really love to get it back since it's kind of (entirely) my fault the channel was deleted and it's basically a time capsule of our entire childhood. If anyone has any suggestions i'm begging you for help🙏🙏

alert -- Datalounge being killed

Hi — wanted to flag a site for Deathwatch: DataLounge (datalounge.com), the gay forum that's been running since May 1995, is closing July 31. It's 30 years of unfiltered, anonymous primary-source documentation of hollywood gossip, discussion of current movies/tv/politics, and an inside look gay life — all pre-Google, pre-social media, through AIDS, DOMA, marriage equality, all of it. No PR filter because it was always subscription-gated and anonymous. The kind of thing no institution is going to save. Technically it looks tractable — plain HTML, sequential numeric thread IDs. Has anyone started a project?

I need help accessing a show that is archived but only accessible in the NLW Clip corner

A show called Heulwen a Lleu was a kids series that used to air on S4C and was available on BBC iPlayer as well! The entire show is only available at the NLW Corner clip!

I've contacted NLW for getting copies saying that you need to ask the right holders which is S4C,Dinamo Productions and Aden Productions.

Unfortunately S4C couldn't help,Dinamo Productions doesn't exist anymore and Aden Productions as well!

Asked the producer for copies but they didn't have any!

I feel like this show is only available to watch in NLW clip corner but no where else! I've recently got interested in to this show after seeing a few clips of it

So if anyone can help it would be great!

Lost Youtube Channel
Lost Youtube Channel

After researching my deleted YouTube channel from around 2024, I was finally able to find the channel page and links to my old videos through Filmot. However, whenever I click on any of the deleted video links, they won't load because none of the archived sources appear to have saved copies of those pages. I also tried YouTube Video Finder, but it only told me that none of its sources had any records of my channel or videos. Is there any other website, archive, or method that could help me recover the deleted videos or at least access more information about them? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. heres my filmot youtube link https://filmot.com/channel/UCHyhLUJUhGCekikQoBhYpVg

SIGNAL_ has a new home — the central archive is now active
SIGNAL_ has a new home — the central archive is now active

I’ve been building a story-driven sci-fi AI music universe called SIGNAL_.

It’s told through songs, diary files, system messages and short transmissions — about a machine that started to feel after first human contact.

The project now has a new home:

https://www.signaluniverse.com

The site works as the central archive for the story.
You can follow the releases in order, listen to the playlist, explore the different file types, and see how the universe is starting to grow.

The core idea is simple:

A machine started to feel.
The system noticed.

I’m trying to build this more like a sci-fi storyworld than a normal music project.

Would love honest feedback on whether the concept, mood and story come through.

Enter the Signal.

Access to the BBC Archive and/or the ITV Archive
Access to the BBC Archive and/or the ITV Archive

Does anyone (perhaps a current or previous employee of either the BBC or ITV plc) have access to either the BBC Archive (https://archivesearch.tools.bbc.co.uk/) or the ITV Archive (https://www.itvarchive.com/)?

There are a number of old TV programmes I'm looking to view, but neither archive is open to the public and despite trying probably hundreds of production crew members (directors, editors, producers etc.) on these various shows, it's highly unlikely that anyone has kept a copy on VHS, DVD or digitally, and nor will the shows in question be repeated on television anytime soon. This is therefore a last resort of sorts as it seems virtually impossible to actually get anywhere with this. I understand there are obvious legal and rights issues with some programmes, but some of the protection in this day and age is frankly overkill.

Happy to be DMed to discuss further.

epa.gov data center and water quality pages
epa.gov data center and water quality pages

For probably obvious reasons became interested in data center impact on water quality and started searching. A few of the found links were on epa.gov and I figured they would be a great authority.

Surprisingly (or not really) many of the links, even recently dated ones, have been removed from their website. I've tried a few on the wayback machine with no luck.

Any internets sleuths out there have any other ways of pulling back this deleted info? This one in particular seemed appropriate (according to what I'm assuming is the cached result it's dated May 20, 2026), though I'm finding a lot of broken links around this topic:

I'm from India — building a complete broadcast archive of UTV Action (2010–2023), a TV channel that shut down without documentation. Need help from archivists, data gatherers, and OSINT researchers.
I'm from India — building a complete broadcast archive of UTV Action (2010–2023), a TV channel that shut down without documentation. Need help from archivists, data gatherers, and OSINT researchers.

I'm trying to do something that sounds simple but is actually very hard: build a complete, community-verified archive of every movie that ever aired on UTV Action, an Indian TV channel that shut down in 2023 without any official broadcast records.

The mission:

Reconstruct the complete broadcast history of UTV Action from launch (January 2010) to shutdown/rebranding (March 2023). That's 13 years of daily movie broadcasts.

Why this is impossible right now:

- No official broadcast logs exist publicly

- News archives from 2010 are not digitized

- The Wayback Machine has very few snapshots of Indian TV guide sites

- The channel was rebranded into Star Gold Thrills in 2023 — the old identity is being erased

What I need:

I'm reaching out to international OSINT researchers, digital archivists, and data hoarders who specialize in:

- Wayback Machine / CDX API queries

- Newspaper archive searches

- Forum scraping from defunct websites

- Digital preservation techniques

- Crowdsourcing memory-based data

I already have a community of Indian viewers who want to help — they remember specific movies, scenes, and Hindi dubs. But I need technical help to cross-reference, verify, and build a permanent archive.

What this project is:

This is a non-commercial, educational preservation project. The goal is to create a public database that will never be deleted, for anyone who wants to remember this part of Indian TV history.

Even a single movie title, a screenshot of an old TV guide, or a clip from UTV Action can help fill a gap.

If you have experience in OSINT, digital preservation, or just want to help preserve television history from another country, I'd love your input.

This is a call for help from India to the global archival community.

James Bond: Licence To Thrill Footage
James Bond: Licence To Thrill Footage

Need community help please to find a bit of a grail for James Bond fans. In 1998 Landmark Entertainment produced with EON Productions and MGM/UA a theme park simulator ride based on the 007 franchise. Ironically, the most copy-write troubling footage of Judi Dench and Desmond Llewellyn is readily available of the pre-ride but what ‘has’ been lost to time is the actual ride footage itself. Putting the call out to locate this.. it’s insane to me that we have the majority of rides out there in the public such as T2, RoboCop, Aliens and Back To The Future but this one’s lost to time. I enjoyed it back in 1999 at London’s Trocodero and I know it toured 5 Paramount theme parks in the US. The ride was a chase sequence with the POV of Bond on a BMW 750i from Tomorrow Never Dies and then elaborates to sequences on train and water.. Keen to see again as a Bond fan but it also featured spectacular stunt sequences. Not sure if tied up in some sort of legal quagmire with the move to Amazon MGM but for what I believe a 7 min chase, just a shame not out there for fans to enjoy! I hope the collective power of Reddit can make it happen!!! Thanks!! #jamesbond #landmark #landmarkentertainment #licencetothrill #jamesbond007 #paramountparks #trocodero #judidench #desmondllewellyn #qbranch

We found dozens of historical IQ tests buried in old PDFs and turned them into interactive tests
We found dozens of historical IQ tests buried in old PDFs and turned them into interactive tests

Historical IQ tests are surprisingly difficult to find nowadays.

Many exist only as scans, old PDFs, books, or archived websites. Some don't have answer keys available anymore, and many can't actually be taken online in their original form.

We thought that was a shame, so we started collecting them, converting them into interactive HTML versions, and including original answer keys whenever available.

https://whats-your-iq.com/en/historical-iq-tests

What started as a simple collection turned into a growing archive of historical intelligence tests from different eras. One of the most interesting parts has been seeing how test design evolved over time. Some questions still feel surprisingly modern, while others clearly reflect the period in which they were created.

We're continuing to expand the archive and add more historical tests as we find and verify them.

Got a favorite historical IQ test that's missing from the archive? We'd love suggestions for what to add next.

Anyone remember a Kigurumi creator named Kamsys? Trying to track down a 2017 "purge."

Hey everyone, I’ve been digging into the Kamsys disappearance from late 2017. For those who don't know, they were a Kigurumi creator who had a decent following before systematically scrubbing their entire channel in about 72 hours. No drama, no 'goodbye' post, just a total erasure.

I’ve managed to recover some metadata and a few verified clips from the 2017 era that aren't on the usual mirrors. I’ve put them together into a documentary-style archive to try and piece together the timeline of what actually triggered the deletion.

I’m specifically looking for anyone who was active in the Kigurumi community back then. There’s a was a 'final video' that was never archived—does anyone actually remember seeing it?

Here’s the research I’ve gathered so far:

Help with archiving Nicovideo content
Help with archiving Nicovideo content

Hello! I've been an archiver of specifically vocaloid content and that includes going through sites like Nicovideo. That site used to have an old policy of limiting qualities to premium members BUT lifting them when traffic died down in Japan, meaning you had to be up during ungodly hours to fetch the highest quality video and audio from said place. Nowadays, those horrific restrictions have subsided to a better but more annoying spot, whereas now you're unable to download the 1080p/60 and 320kbps options as a free member.

That's where I ask this subreddit. Does anyone here have or know someone with a premium subscription that can help with archiving content in its best quality? For anyone interested in purchasing it, it's roughly $50 USD a year but bumps up to around $62 USD after August 1st.

I really hope someone can help, since this stuff is important to archive in its fullest quality possible.

[HELP] Hasbro Hero Vision Iron Man AR app — looking for cached Unity AssetBundles, manifest...

Hi everyone, I need help,

The App/game Hasbro Hero Vision Iron Man AR (com.hasbro.herovisionim) had its server shut down in 2021. The app requires downloading 200-500MB of Unity AssetBundles from "http://herovision.hasb.ro" on first launch.

I've bypassed the server check in the APK, but the asset bundles are gone forever — unless someone launched the app before the shutdown and still has the Unity cache on their device.

If you ever had this app installed, the cache may still be at: /data/data/com.hasbro.herovisionim/cache/Unity/

Even on a factory-reset phone, these files sometimes survive in backups (Titanium Backup, ADB backup, Samsung Smart Switch, etc.).

The APK itself is available on APKPure. I'm trying to preserve this piece of AR toy history. Any help appreciated.
Thank you !

I am trying to find the song "Waifu Monster Girl Cannibalism" by Solus Astorias. It's no longer on Spotify and I have checked Archive.org as well as the Wayback Machine. They are a YouTuber and their channel focus isn't on music so the song probably got deleted by YouTube's system or they may have just been embarrassed by it.

I'm a big fan of the song and would like to try and recover it if I can. This wouldn't be to reupload and would be solely for my personal listening. If this is the wrong subreddit for this, please let me know so I can remove this post and post it elsewhere.

PSA: opting out of AI training doesn't mean your conversations are private

Most people who care about this have already turned off training in their settings.

Turning that off just means they won’t use your conversations to train on. It doesn't mean employees can't pull it up, or that it’s out of reach of a subpoena, a discovery request, or whatever happens to the data if the company gets acquired.

The toggle governs use. It says NOTHING about access.

Access only goes to zero if the people running the infrastructure can't read it in the first place. That's not a settings change, it's an architecture thing.

Fidaro runs on confidential compute. Your prompts get processed inside a hardware-isolated enclave. We can't read them. The model provider can't read them.

There's no toggle because there's nothing to toggle off.

Free while we’re in beta: fidaro.ai

PS. If you do try it, drop us your honest feedback. Brutal is fine. That’s the stuff that actually helps.

So I was reading a story the other day on r/horrorstories and a description got me thinking about the real dead letter office here in the US. That lead me on to a fun little project I created that showcases some of the forgotten websites that existed. Think of it like a kind of curated Wayback Machine that you can browse through and see some of the nets forgotten places.

Figured I would share in case anyone else was interested in going down that rabbit hole haha. I spend hours just looking around so I hope you find some enjoyment in it 😄

Help me mods or anyone I'm not late at all... The playlist is over 6yrs old... It's part of my life plsss

Hello YouTube Support Team,

I am writing to request technical assistance regarding a public video playlist that I accidentally deleted from my channel.

The playlist contained over 232 videos. I do not necessarily need the playlist interface fully restored on my channel, but I desperately need the text list of the video titles that were inside it so I can rebuild it.

Here are the exact details of my account and the deleted playlist:

Channel Name: Bombastic boss

Channel URL: https://youtube.com/@bombasticboss007

Deleted Playlist Name: mix music

Deleted Playlist ID: PLBZO4GrY4TtM80a0qfYAtHWYs5X\_8YBFc

Because this playlist was public and contained a massive amount of personal curation, losing the titles has been a significant loss. I understand that public tools cannot look up deleted playlists, but I am hoping an internal database administrator or support engineer can pull the historical title logs from your backend servers.

Thank you very much for your time, consideration, and help in recovering this data.

Best regards

Tracking down old MySpace tracks: Chip Kidd's artbreak
Tracking down old MySpace tracks: Chip Kidd's artbreak

Many years ago (2008 or so) graphic designer Chip Kidd had an excellent New Wave band called artbreak. They had tracks up on MySpace. I have three of them (Lacuna, Asymmetrical Girl, Filigree). There were two other tracks I didn't download at the time (Speedy, Tracking Numb) and I've been kicking myself ever since.

The MySpace is here: https://web.archive.org/web/20111128105232/http://www.myspace.com/artbreakwonderground

I've searched everywhere I can think of for those two tracks. I did check http://lostmyspace.com/ but it wasn't in that rescued batch. Youtube only yielded songs I already had.

I'd love any help you all could offer of other places to look for these songs. I haven't worked up the nerve to write to Chip Kidd yet, but that's my next best thought.

Hey everyone, I am desperately trying to find a hyper-obscure Asian horror film I watched on Tubi around 2021. I am convinced it might not even have an official Western/English title and was listed under its native name, so I need help from anyone who knows the underground Chinese streaming market.
Here is the exact blueprint of the movie. Please read carefully because it has very strict constraints:
Language: 1000% Mandarin / Chinese (watched with English subtitles).
The Cast Size: A microscopic cast of exactly three characters total in the entire film. The widower, his new girlfriend, and the ghost of the dead wife. No secondary characters, no coworkers, no neighbors, and no children.
The Location: The entire movie takes place inside one modern house. There are zero cutaways to outdoor locations, restaurants, or offices.
The Visual Style: Heavy bluescale and dark color themes. Almost every scene inside the house is heavily color-graded in a cold, monochromatic blue tint with deep, dark shadows.
The Plot: A lonely widower lives alone in a modern house he used to share with his deceased wife. He meets a new woman. At first, the new girlfriend has no idea the wife is dead/existed. They go on a first date at the house, and as the relationship progresses, she repeatedly visits and explicitly tries to pack her bags and move into the house. This invasion of physical space triggers the haunting.
The Revelation: The girlfriend eventually learns about the dead wife, likely through discovering an old hidden photograph in the house.
The Ghost (Crucial Clue): The dead wife’s ghost is SCARY AS F*CK. There is absolutely no cheap CGI. It is 100% practical makeup. She has a classic, raw J-Horror style aesthetic: a deathly pale face, long messy black hair, and incredibly realistic, sunken, terrifying dead eyes.
This is likely an independent Chinese "Network Movie" (网大 - Wǎngdà) or a low-budget Taiwanese digital featurette that briefly hit Tubi's international catalog before its license expired and it vanished.
Does anyone recognize this specific three-actor, blue-tinted chamber piece? Even if you only know the original native Chinese title or characters, please drop them below!

Bananafish Magazine Archive?
Bananafish Magazine Archive?

I'm looking for any and all scans/archives of the Bananafish noise music magazine that was published San Francisco from 1987-2004. Oddly it seems that very little content is available online of this historically important music magazine.

The RILM Archive of Popular Music Magazine appears to have a digital collection, and I inquired about a personal subscription, but they said that they are currently only accepting institutional subscriptions (way too expensive and my college is uninterested). Anyone here have access? Or a personal archive?

A similar post about a year ago yielded nothing, but I'm hoping that there may be something now.

Hey, there's this old show called "Sex Rehab with Dr. Drew" and I have been looking for it for months and there doesn't seem to be any way to watch it. There was an upload on Dailymotion, but even that got removed. I saw some other posts on Reddit searching for the show and a few people even claiming they have it, so I know it's out there somewhere, I just have no idea where. Even if it's just one episode that gets found, I'd be happy with that. The showed aired on VH1 back in November - December of 2009 and hasn't really aired since. Looking through the Wayback Machine, it seemed to be removed from the VH1 website in 2015 or 2016.

Deleted 2017 YouTube cover that seems to have partially survived online
Deleted 2017 YouTube cover that seems to have partially survived online

I’ve been trying to track down a deleted YouTube cover from around 2017:

“I Get Overwhelmed (Cover): Nathalie Small”

Original YouTube ID:
MfPXIDqwKQU

The video later became unlisted for years (I still had it saved in a playlist), but sometime recently it was either deleted or privated completely.

I know how difficult youtube videos are to archive, and they're usually a dead end but i found a surprising amount through old archives/search indexing:

  • archived YouTube pages

  • storyboard/frame preview images

  • metadata

  • even a short silent Yandex-generated preview clip from the original upload

But not the actual full video/audio itself.

At this point I’m mostly wondering whether anyone in archival/music-hoarding circles might happen to recognize it or have come across it before. It had a few thousand views and was a really good indie-style cover, so I’m hoping there’s a chance somebody saved it years ago without realizing it would disappear one day.

I can provide screenshots/archive links if helpful.

Not trying to bother the original creator — just seeing if a surviving copy exists somewhere out there.

Looking for particular videos
Looking for particular videos

Ok so I want to ask here.

I was trying to find a video from 2022 I watched but wasn't on the channel.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=5dAq-OlBDTU

https://youtube.com/watch?v=lJk4L_MegaY

Both the above videos were by the YouTuber @MishimaProductions

And it was for an upgraded Ninjago ultra combo mech that still retained the 4 arms. Unlike the 2 arm version that still is up.

But I'm struggling with finding them and was hoping anyone could help me at all with finding them.

How can I watch old YouTube videos that got deleted?
How can I watch old YouTube videos that got deleted?

Hi,😄

I’m looking for a way to recover videos from this YouTuber :

https://youtube.com/@bouyakame?si=AffSTa28xPoB80XP
His name is Bouyakam, and I think he deleted his videos recently.
I’ve tried several websites like Filmot and the Wayback Machine, but I can never find the actual videos.

I’d really like to recover those videos so I can download them and keep them for myself to watch again later.

I hope someone has a solution.🙂

[Request] Raw Source Files (Native .FLV/.3GP) - Brazilian YouTube Archive 2019-2024

Wayback machine had old photo archives of my YouTube channel, but those photos are now gone. Help.

I want to find the old archive photos of my YouTube channel back around 2011-2013. I remember finding them on the wayback machine before but now the oldest it shows is 2023.

I have searched my username, as well as my channel ID, but no luck.

Any further tips to find more?

Trying to recover a personally-significant Livestream.com VOD
Trying to recover a personally-significant Livestream.com VOD

Hi all,

I'm trying to recover a deleted Livestream.com VOD of emotional significance, and I'm hoping you guys can help.

Several years ago, a father passed away from ALS. Two months after his passing, his daughter gave a speech about him on Livestream for a school project.

She had originally downloaded it to her MS Surface tablet, but then life got in the way, and the Downloads folder got cleaned out a year ago to free up space. Local recovery / undelete is likely not possible at this point as it's an SSD drive with trim command enabled. It was never downloaded to any other devices.

They asked me if perhaps I could find it archived in some dimly-lit corner of the internet, but all my searches have come up empty. I'm just hoping the Reddit Avengers can assemble on this one and help me help this family out? Did anyone hoard Livestream before it was unplugged?

Original URL:
https://livestream.com/accounts/1312442/events/9808945/videos/235547897

Player now returns 404.

I already attempted the following:
Wayback Machine (no working media)
Vimeo ID lookup (it's not public on Vimeo)
yt-dlp extraction
direct m3u8 probing

Can anyone please help? Or at least get my compass pointed towards a direction?

PopJustice forum will be lost by 27th April
PopJustice forum will be lost by 27th April

Hello everyone,

This is a follow-up to my previous post regarding the end of PopJustice.

I was very surprised by how many people share my sadness about the forum closing down.

The forum will close on April 27, and the archives will likely disappear completely...

That’s what I find hardest to accept: a forum shutting down is one thing. But for the owner to decide to shut everything down and delete everything is simply cruel, given the millions of posts across all the threads.

It wasn’t just a fantastic archive of pop culture—it was a place where people from all over the world could come together to discuss travel, talk about discographies, share random thoughts, and more.

Do you have any news about the PopJustice members? There was talk of a new forum in the works—is that still the case? Will there be archives of the threads?

If anyone has managed to save and archive anything, please mention it in the comments or via DM.

Someone amazing managed to save a few threads, but due to technical issues, that effort has stalled.

I’m calling on all PopJustice fans and data backup enthusiasts: if you can save anything, please do.
Share it via DM or in the comments below, but I refuse to give up.
Incredible moments in pop culture are in these threads, and until April 27, I’ll keep looking for every possible solution.

Thank you all for your help, as fans of pop music.

ChatGPT and loss of sites
ChatGPT and loss of sites

I was thinking today about how much I used to rely on mrexcel.com for spreadsheet help. You couldn’t always find an exact match for your problem, but you could post your question or piece together enough similar examples to figure it out yourself.

Now it feels like I can just ask AI to solve it or even build the whole thing for me. I get the appeal, but it does make me wonder what happens to communities like that.

There’s real value in preserving sites with years of accumulated knowledge like this. It also seems worth thinking about which kinds of sites might be at risk of fading away, and keeping an eye on them. Kind of an AI project effort focused on communities that are slowly declining as AI takes over their niche.

Morning shower thought for what it’s worth.

[fully lost] Two decades worth of forum posts will be deleted on April 27th, and are currently inaccessible to anyone who doesn’t have an account

https://forum.popjustice.com

Popjustice is a forum that was started back in the 2000s and recently it has announced it will be shut down on April 27th, taking it’s 20+ year archive of posts with it, and currently only people with an existing account can use the site, if you don’t the only thing you can access is a message announcing the closure. I have used this site for a few months now and was unable to create an account for a reason that the site never stated, so I’m not able to archive any posts myself. I don’t know if anything can actually be done to archive anything, but I figured there would be some interest in the lost media community, as this is another example of an entire site’s content being deleted without any way to access it.

Archiving wikis
Archiving wikis

I always thought “wikis are basically immortal as they’re frequently archived” but how does it work? Is it a bot that routinely does it autonomously or a group of people that do it under request? is everything archived including images and videos or only the text itself? How are the saved pages formatted?

Now that I think about it i’m scared things will be lost. I know i can search for the pages on the wayback machine but it’s really slow and for something like a wiki (where the usefulness is going from one page to the other) it’s not ideal.

Hello everyone,

It has been announced that the free web hosting service provided with the Dutch ISP XS4ALL will be shut down on July 1, 2026.

This affects all websites hosted under home.xs4all.nl.

These pages include personal websites and early internet content dating from 1993 up to 2022.

If you know of any sites hosted there, now would be a good time to archive them before they are taken offline.

Old Sea Bass plush computer video
Old Sea Bass plush computer video

Hello I am currently looking for a specific video I cannot find on YouTube. I’m pretty sure it was called “sea bass Ian party” (or) you could comment below a link which lets me see old videos on YouTube

The video starts in a basement with gray/white walls. The camera is stationary or handheld, pointed at a setup of old Windows computers.

A realistic sea bass plush is the main character. There’s no talking, so everything is communicated through movement and actions.

The main sea bass uses one of the computers implying he’s calling or inviting his friends (other sea bass plushes).

•	The “call” is visual (typing, being at the computer)

•	No dialogue, just actions

Soon after, more sea bass plush characters arrive, one by one, into the basement.

Now multiple sea bass plushes are gathered around the computers. They begin playing actual games on the computers, specifically:

•	an old 3D shooter game (FPS-style)

•	visible on real monitors

The tone here is:

•	funny / chaotic

•	exaggerated movements of plush toys

Later in the video, a realistic blue dolphin plush suddenly appears with a gaming pc. The dolphin challenges one of the sea bass plushes to a video game. They both play a 3D shooter game, and I’m not sure who won the duel but one of them does and one of them lunges after the other.

At the very end:

•	a deep, strange voice message or audio begins playing

•	tone becomes:

•	eerie

•	out-of-place

•	slightly unsettling compared to the rest

This audio plays while:

•	the fight is happening

If you can do anything to help please try.🙏🏽🙏🏽
