#Through the Bus Route Planning Programme, TD reviews the service level and passenger demand of franchised bus routes in various districts to cater the passenger demand. During the review process, TD comprehensively considers factors such as regional development, demographic changes, commencement of transport infrastructure, existing and projected passenger demand, the level of public transport services, and traffic conditions on busy roads to rationalize and further improve bus services. In response to the latest operation and related factors of bus services, TD may re-examine individual route proposals from time to time. TD will continue to closely monitor changes in public transport services and passenger demand in relevant districts and to discuss appropriate service arrangements with bus companies to cater the passenger demand.
