Disney+ and Hulu's latest animated series has seemingly leaked ahead of release.
Disney+ and Hulu are continuing to deliver some insane series throughout the year, including season 2 of Rivals, FX's The Bear, and Marvel Animation's X-Men '97 season 2. Disney+'s catalog is one of the best across the streaming platforms, with everything from classic Disney Princess movies to the latest Star Wars and Marvel drops.
Certain episodes of Adventure Time: Side Quests are appearing on Disney+ and Hulu ahead of their release on June 29. Not every country is able to see the new episodes, but certain countries, such as the U.S., have been able to see a select number of episodes on both Hulu and Disney+. The leak comes just a day after the official new trailer for the spinoff was released.
After eight years, Adventure Time is coming back, and Finn the Human and Jake the Dog have a lot more adventures to partake in. Finn will now be voiced by Sasha Knight, and John DiMaggio is returning as the iconic Jake. The series is "Designed to introduce a new generation of fans to the land of Ooo, whilst giving existing fans more of what they love, the series brings standalone, silly quests and playful challenges - celebrating the joyful chaos of Finn and Jake’s adventures."
Disney and Hulu have yet to comment on the apparent leaks, but it has allowed some lucky fans to watch the new spinoff ahead of its release. Some fans commented on the new episodes, stating that "OK, I had my doubts, but maybe Adventure Time Side Quests is peak," as well as adding, "This episode was unbelievably funny, I can’t believe they still got it."
Adventure Time has been an incredibly successful animated series praised for its heartwarming stories and lovable characters. It has won eight Primetime Emmy Awards, a Peabody Award, three Annie Awards, and two British Academy Children's Awards. Because of its success, spinoffs were inevitable and those include Adventure Time: Distant Lands, Adventure Time, Heyo BMO, and the adult-aimed series Fionna and Cake.
It's unclear if the episodes were merely a fluke or intentional, but if it was an accidental leak, the likelihood is that the episodes will eventually get taken down. At the time of writing, they remain live and watchable.
Adventure Time: Side Quests will officially drop on Disney+ and Hulu on June 29.
