A “SERIAL sexual predator” raped a woman before murdering two others in an eight-month reign of terror, a court heard.
Simon Levy, 40, allegedly began his spree in January last year when he strangled a woman unconscious before raping her, jurors heard.
He then killed Carmenza Valencia Trujillo, 53, before dumping her body in the stairwell of a derelict building in Peckham, South East London, on March 17 last year, it was said.
The Old Bailey heard Levy was arrested over her death on April 1 and quizzed about Carmenza’s murder.
A second victim, Sheryl Wilkins, 39, was found dead in a car park near a B&M store in Tottenham, North London, on August 24.
Jurors were told Levy has already been convicted of carrying out a “raft” of sex offences in 2025.
Prosecutor Tom Little KC said both killings were sexually motivated, and that while sexual activity with the women may have started out being consensual, it did not stay that way.
He added: “What is this case that you are now trying all about?
“It involves, we say, a series of predatory sexual attacks from the first eight months of 2025 on three women, each in their own way very vulnerable.
“We say there was one attacker, the defendant.

“Apart from being attacked by the defendant, all three had something else in common. Not in an identical sense, each was either a sex worker or on occasions would perform sexual services in return for money or drugs.
“That’s no coincidence in this case. That’s why and how the defendant encountered them. That’s also why we suggest he attacked them, no doubt hoping and thinking he could get away with it.”
The court heard Carmenza was discovered in a largely disused block of flats on the Aylesbury estate.
She was lying face down in a landing area, with injuries to her face and no pulse with her trousers not fully pulled up, it was said.
Levy had lived nearby for a number of months in 2023 and would have known the area, Mr Little said.
His blood was found on a pipe in the stairwell area near where her body was found and his DNA was discovered on Carmenza’s body, jurors heard.
Sheryl was found collapsed near High Road, Tottenham, at 6.30am on August 24 last year, in the same car park where the January rape allegedly took place.
Jurors were told the woman Levy allegedly raped was left “as good as for dead” after he jumped on her with all his weight – breaking her collarbone.
He then covered her face and strangled her as the woman feared she would be killed, it was said.
Four days later, she was arrested for breach of a community order while on her way to hospital for treatment for the injury to her collarbone.
The woman told police she had been raped but was not well enough to be interviewed at the time because she was withdrawing from heroin.
But in September that year, she told officers how she was attacked and gave a physical description of Levy.
She later picked him out a police identity parade and he was arrested.
Levy has denied two counts of rape, one count of GBH, one count of intentional suffocation, and two counts of murder.
The trial continues.
