Does anyone actually like this actor/character? It's not a trap. I'm not going to jump down your throat. Just curious. I find him SO off-putting and annoying. My best guess is that he appeals to the generation that grew up watching those awful early 2000s Disney tween sitcoms. His acting style & look is totally from that era.

I don't hate him, but no I don't like him. Most of the time feels like a Diary of a Wimpy Kid character.

He rally doesn’t fit in the current Spider-Man movies. He seems to be based off Miles Morales friend Ganke. Peter Parker has never had a close friend who knew he was Spidey so I don’t get why they didn’t just put this guy in a Miles Morales movie

I don't hate him, but I also don't think he has really added anything either. It's just like, "Yeah, he exists."

I feel that some movies and TV shows make a character like that because the main hero can't have thought bubbles, so he or she needs to share their secrets / inner monologue with somebody

I thought the character and actor was alright. I just didn't expect him and MJ to return for Brand New Day though.

I just remember rolling my eyes at him and Peter going "Hurr hurr, but what's your real name?" when Doc Ock introduced himself as Otto Octavius. That's some fine writing.

I recently mentioned that I hated him because he’s one of those characters Disney likes to have in their movies and shows where his entire personality is one emotional state. My entire family disagreed with me. They think he’s funny and endearing. Can’t win’em all.

The only reason I dont like him is because I want there to be a mainline hobgoblin in the mcu and I dont want him to look like a chonk. I want him to be an idealized slender but muscular character who you dont know WHO he is, like the comics.

He's the guy you'd pick last in sports and he's also the guy you'd pick to be on your team, because he's your solid loyal happy joval friend. Reminded me of an old school mate (RIP buddy).

No hate to the actor, I just don't like the fat nerdy sidekick kind of character, he honestly just feels like a filler character to make Peter Parker look like less of a dweeb. The first movie with him made some sense, he just didn't really evolve beyond chubby sidekick.

I gotta be honest I don't even remember what his name is in or out of the movie. I think this type of character is just a hanger-on from 2019-2020 and the type who make these movies would think it some sort of affront to get rid of him even though he doesn't contribute much. He's like a millennial Foggy but even Foggy can be tough to write well, because being a Super Heroes friend doesn't make you interesting or cool.

Feels out of place to have him there. I doubt anyone is clamoring for him to be on screen for an extended period of time.

Ah yeah he’s an alright actor, I feel like in other projects he has more potential but this “Ned” Ganke character they created is literally a cardboard cut out style friend supporting character who acts like no human IRL. The problem therein lies that now as part of this new trilogy, we’re just supposed to ignore the only character development he got over 3 movies was sparkle fingers and he dated Betty Brant in Europe and act like he’s some MONOLITH of the MCU Spider-Man lore… he’s like in 3 scenes and somehow the punchline to 7. It blows my fucking mind bro. Like I said before, the actor has talent, so how TF did we end up here in this boat???

I'm cool with him in "small doses," if you will. He's an okay supporting role, but don't make him overstay his welcome.

Some think he will eventually become hobgoblin since Ned Leeds was revealed to be hobgoblin in one of the comics and Spider-Man always ends up fighting his best friend. But I don’t think he’d work as a villian. Way too dorky.

I don't mind him. With that said, if they wrote him out of the films I would be unbothered. I did like his scene in No Way Home where he was using Doctor Stranges ring though

His character was funny in the first spider man film. But keeping him the exact same for over ten years is a bit much. As the actor, he's a decent comic relief actor. I found him funny in the 'Wrecking Crew'. Mainly because he was actually shit talking like he was an actual 30 year old guy

As Ned, he's just ok in the MCU. A movie I saw this actor in recently that I enjoyed as others here mentioned was Wrecking Crew. He plays an annoying character, yes, but he's supposed to be that way. I actually really liked his character there, plus the scene when he first runs away from Jason Momoa's character was great.

Hollywood movies are meant to be consumed world wide. Adding new characters to established properties makes good business sense if you truly want a global audience.

My generation likes him but not really because of his acting or anything. Like all things on the internet he was made into a meme and has gained an unwavering amount of love from said meme. He’s the CEO of Sex. That’s the meme.

I've never seen him acting in a role that left any emotional imprint on me, I can say that. I don't find him likeable or unlikeable, really. Given the right material...who knows?

I don't care about him I don't understand what he is supposed to be He's a brand new archetype in the spider canon. Peter Parker has never had a sidekick/orbiter to this degree He shows aptitudes in tech and magic Is only really shown with Zendaya I've heard people theorize he's gonna be h hobgoblin, which I don't really care about But I figure within the context of the movies he should make for a good heelturn, even tho I don't really care, I could accept that this Spiderman would be devastated to see him turn villainous, and it might make for some good drama
I think he worked for the role cast. That dorky/overly-friendly HS student who latches onto everyone. I didn't like how he knew who Spiderman was so soon. Then again, if you were a superhero, do you think you could keep it from your best friend?

I thought he did a decent enough job as Peter Parker's friend in the Tom Holland Spider-Man thing but now he is everywhere. Wonder if that's why.
He didn’t bug me at first, only when o realized that he isn’t just a Ned but Ned Leeds then I was done with him. He’s not that guy.
I like ned but he's kinda not important he's kinda a comic relief character 🤔 but he's kinda not important like the story moves without ned 😕 and he's just a foil to peater parker to show he has a normal relationship in his life I would describe Ned as beautifully neutral 🙂

I think he’s fine. I don’t love him as a character, but I like him as one of Peter’s supporting characters. Since he’s Ned Leeds, he’ll probably become the Hobgoblin at some point. I don’t love that, but it could be interesting, sort of a parallel to Franco’s Harry Osborn, just like Zendaya’s MJ parallels Dunst’s Mary Jane.

It’s even worse than dislike, everyone I know in real life is utterly indifferent to this take on Ned Leeds. I’ve only ever heard him disparingly compared to Ganke from Miles Morales supporting cast, because he’s pretty much an adaption of him but with Ned’s name slapped on him.
I like him cuz he's Peter's Friend....

I watched all of the Disney Channel shows back then and they were much better than the Spider-Man Home series characters. Zendaya had two Disney Channel shows after I had somewhat stopped watching, but I saw them because of my siblings occasionally. She was much more likable in her first show, but started being obnoxious and doing the things she does now in the second. But there were a number of shows that were much better than these parts of the MCU.

He’s ok…. Even funny sometimes. But I guess the writers felt Peter Parker needed a side kick bestie and already did that with Harry Osborn and although Peter and Johnny Storm were very close, that was out of the question, so… We got Ned Leeds. Btw… three films and another on the way and they are all great movies if you just sit back and enjoy them as a normie and not an analytical lore nerd. Looking forward to the next installment.
