Nintendo of Europe recently released more footage of the Star Fox 64 remake onto Twitter, and much like previous instances, fans once again expressed dismay over the poor quality of the voice-acting, with western voice-acting in general being in quite the dismal state.
The gameplay footage uploaded by the Twitter account showcased the game’s dialogue:
Once again, many were upset by the quality of the voice-acting when compared to the original game. While the original Star Fox 64 didn’t have stellar voice-acting, it was more expressive and over-the-top, which helped to make it more memorable. Examples of the voice-acting from the Nintendo 64 original:
Only some of the comments criticizing the voice-acting:

This is just the state of American voice acting. The entire American voice industry needs culling. Or better yet, just let the Japanese handle everything and put subtitles on.
Japanese games should be always played in japanese, I’d rather pierce my ears instead of playing a jap game with english dub.
English VAs are a waste of money.
GVG went over the comparisons between the remake, the classic dub and the original JP dub. What they found was that the N64 version was “ahem” localized to hell and back, voice acting especially, and the remake is trying to match what Japan originally put out tonally, which was suppose to sound more like a shounen space opera.
