A bit older but still alive .. The same states for my system ... Up and running macOS 26 Tahoe Public Beta. Attached my EFI for Sequoia and Tahoe for all remaining X299-ers. Joining again the community for the final lap of Hackintosh. I guess you can remove "retired" from my profile at least for one remaining year..

A minimum 32 GB USB stick is mandatory to create the full installer

The Tahoe Public Beta Intallation package when downloaded is 17.38 GB in size (as shown in Corpnewt's gibMacOS).



So stands to reason the USB drive would need to be larger than 16 GB.

Actual size when restored to a USB drive is 19.09 GB, as shown below.

3 Packs of Sandisk drives (32GB) are very low cost these days. The 2.0 versions have never failed me yet when installing many different macOS versions.

Audio not working is normal, as Apple removed AppleHDA from Tahoe. You need to wait and see what happens with AppleALC.kext or OpenCore Legacy Patcher with regards getting the Realtek Audio working.

Short term solution is to use a USB audio device. Something inexpensive like this offering from Amazon.
