Hey frumblr! JOFA has a new project so you can know what the women's sections are like at a shul, which could be very helpful if you're moving somewhere or visiting. It currently assesses the size of the women's section compared to the men's section, and a star ranking of how well you can see and hear. I haven't put in any rankings yet but there's one I want to put in where the size is decent compared to the men but you have no idea what on earth is going on in the men's section, and the #$@#$@ shul calls itself Modox.

I find the obsession with jews and muslims not eating bacon, and the idea that we are "missing out" to be so stupid.

Firstly there is no mysterious force preventing jews and muslims from eating pork. It's a personal choice. And if you choose not to eat pork because its not Kosher or Halal, you're not missing out as missing out implies you want to but can't.

Secondly, as a jew who doesn't keep kosher and does eat pork, bacon isn't even the best pork product. Like crispy pork belly is better than bacon. Pork floss is even better than that. Like imagine the texture of angel hair/halva fluff but its meat. I fucking love pork floss.

Instead of harassing jews and muslims by leaving bacon on their doorsteps, leave pork floss, specifically on my doorstep and no one elses, please and thank you.

a) there’s not mainstream criticism of the Talmud like there is with the Christian Bible or Quran because the Talmud isn’t mainstream like those books are.

In a momentous vote, the National Education Association’s 7,000-member policymaking body cut all ties with the Anti-Defamation League. On July 6, the NEA’s national Representative Assembly approved New Business Item 39, committing that the NEA “will not use, endorse, or publicize materials from the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), such as its curricular materials or statistics.” The reasoning: “Despite its reputation as a civil rights organization, the ADL is not the social justice educational partner it claims to be.”

The ADL has been a ubiquitous presence in U.S. schools for nearly forty years, pushing curriculum, direct programming, and teacher training into K-12 schools and increasingly into universities – often over the objections of students, parents, and educators. While the ADL has positioned itself as an anti-bias organization (until recently publicly abandoning much of that work), it has increasingly been understood as policing and repressing social justice movements, and deploying “civil rights talk” to derail change.

Now, the NEA, the largest labor union in the U.S. with 3,000,000 members, has finally said no.

If they aren’t lying through their teeth then have just proven themself completely unqualified to say anything about the Middle East or Jewish history ever.
