It's true, but in context the previous low from 2018 was 60 murders in Q1. It was 54 in Q1 of this year. I don't know how quickly it takes for new policies to be implemented and show results, but I imagine it's more than 3 months.

Why would we be mad about it? Trump made it happen by shutting down the flow of illegals into America and deporting so many of them. Liberals always claim that they don't commit a lot of crime, but the moment the flow was shut down, crime plunged across the board.

Entirely possible NYC is doing it like Washington DC and just not reporting the full the crimes stats so it looks less severe, but I also wish that the story is true and there are less murders than the last year.
