Distinguishing between the 3 types of video game crossovers[]

I wanted to bring this up on a community forum or discussions tab, but I couldn't find either.

There are 3 types of crossovers in video games: permanently available crossovers like in Brawlhalla, recurring crossovers like in the Fortnite item shop and temporary crossovers like the Fortnite Battle Passes.

Is it possible to have the Crossover Wiki distinguish between these three types because it's very difficult to find this information online for most games without actually playing them? I often have to resort to asking on the game's subreddit and hoping someone will answer. In my personal canon, permanent and recurring crossovers are valid, but temporary crossover are invalid, which is why I want to know. Gilgamesh de Uruk (talk) 02:36, 22 August 2025 (UTC)
