It’s Waifu Wednesday! This week’s waifu is Supergirl from the animated series My Adventures with Superman!

Supergirl returns in the new season and the animators have gone all out with making her absolutely adorable.

Kara Zor-el is Superman’s cousin who is arguably older or younger depending on how you view things. In almost all appearances of Kara there’s usually some time dilation shenanigans involved. The reason is that a key element of Kara’s character is that she comes into her powers and assimilates into Earth’s culture as an adult. Whereas Clark has had his whole life, Kara has a whole fish out of water vibe going on.

It’s worth mentioning that My Adventures with Superman has its own canon and versions of each character.

Luckily this leads to some very cute moments where Kara appears naive or silly, such as one scene where she wants to pet the “elephant in the room” after hearing that particular turn of phrase.

Honestly she’s just really cute, it’s like American animators finally figured out moe.
